And to be fair there's other stuff I'd watch other than watching.....whatever the crap half of the stuff on the list is airing. Let it be known that I'll end up watching it anyway, but I'll probably drop most of this stuff within the first three episodes too.

personally, I'm just tired of people saying "worst season of all time" at the start of every single season. majority of anime nowadays is fanservice with "plot," but there's almost always something worth watching, and generally a few that are entertaining enough for your average person, even if it isn't that good. either way, judging shows based on the first episode is dumb, be it good or bad opinions.
unless it's S2 of something and you know you'll get the same thing, more or less. my god, I was wondering what kind of crap Dog Days would use for S2. this is so dumb. not even Nana can get me to - oh wtf she voices TWO characters now? sigh...okay.
Well to be fair if you imagine him saying it in a moe way I suppose anything would seem moe
And YEAH exactly. There's always something in there that makes it worth watching. Quite a bit of time and money and heart goes into making these series and there's usually something ok. Also annoyed by how people are so quite to hate after the first episode (also how people are so quick to laud series edit: wait you mentioned that too, whatever I agree ^^).

Just a couple of weeks I finished every anime on my plan to watch list. I checked the recommendation on top and picked only Ga-Rei : Zero from that list. I've watched more than 90% on that list anyway.
Pls dont troll me with School Days I'm already tired to see it on every 2nd page and I will never watch it. Just a reminder dont bother with with your typical Moeshit shows, Harems and Mecha ( I dislike mecha in general but i could give it a shot if its good ).

I don't really have any opinions on what seasons are better than others because there are always going to be shows that I enjoy. It just so happens that this time the shows that I might enjoy are the ones that I might as well just read or something since I'm on a reading spree.

Muv Luv: Recommend you watch Episode 2 before you drop it; that's where the action starts. Episode 1 was fairly bland, agreed
Well, that was it. I have no clue of how many hours it took me, but now it's over. Now, I have to mention that I haven't played many VN:s before the ML series (a little Fate/Stay Night), so giving out ratings isn't really something I can do - but it's certainly somewhere between 9 and 10. The biggest problem is getting through Extra. Unlimited was also not that great, but it was still enjoyable, and playing MLA without having played those beforehand simply wouldn't have worked, so I'm glad I got through them.
There are a lot of nice characters (I never liked Chizuru even in Unlimited/MLA, but that didn't prevent her and Ayamine from having an epic final moment), and pretty nice interaction between them, and the setting is quite well done, with humans getting royally fucked by the BETA, politics, etc. As I said I haven't played that many VN:s, so I'm still not entirely used to the way a lot of the action is done (can't help but want more anime-ish parts), but it was still pretty good (and the anime-ish parts were reserved for the utterly awesome moments). The OST really does a great job at setting the mood, with everything from sad moments to briefings to Takeru beastmode. Something that really makes the many death scenes that much better. I feel like they were all well done, though Meyia's was the best, imo. I got pretty angry when I saw what happened to Tamase though (or, well, her body)
Some people might complain about the ending, and think that it was a "too happy" ending. Well, while Takeru does get an uber harem, the many sad moments during the game makes up for it - and just because Takeru gets his happy ending, it doesn't mean that the sacrifices that were made were undone. The other world is still fighting the BETA.
That said, I got really happy in the ending when Kasumi showed up. She's so cute, I want a bonus Kasumi route NOW!!
As for flaws with MLA, right now I'll narrow it down to "Oh God tentacles Q.Q".
Starting to wonder what will happen in MLA:TE, since it's supposed to be in Alaska and basically no beta after ep2. Politics? More Alternatives? The timeline compared to MLA, and if what happens in MLA will be mentioned in/affect TE? I wanna know.
Cutscene that was added to the all ages version: + Show Spoiler +
I'm expecting mostly mecha vs mecha battles with some politics thrown in (given that the plot involves a US pilot + a Japanese pilot working on a TSF development project).
As for MLA, pretty amazing how the Muv-Luv theme takes on a whole different meaning after you finish the series: + Show Spoiler +
Favorite characters?
P.S. I think we're all in agreement about the tentacles

MLA definitely has a great story, but to me its biggest flaw besides going through extra would probably be the characters. Too many annoying characters especially Shirogane. Shirogane is like Touma and Shinji combined: whiny kid and moralfag. He really made things extremely annoying for me and his long speeches just annoyed me even more. Other annoying characters are Chizuru and to an extent Meiya.

I'm reading it, although I don't know if I'd go as far as to say I'm "really into it." The premise was neat and it's had some interesting chapters, but it's hard to get excited about waiting a month for 10 minutes of reading. Manga isn't really my thing I guess.

Just a small question about Muv-Luv.
Can I enjoy this anime even if i havent got the slightest idea about the VN ?

You can, but I feel like I'm gaining a lot by having played it (completed MLA today).
Holy fuck it's been a good while since I laughed this much. Seriously. Enjoy the insanity. Don't know why but I laughed like an idiot during all the "slow mo chickens + ave maria" moments. The one at the end was golden.
The premise certainly seems to be more interesting than Accel World (although I've only read a single chapter of the manga before this). There's a problem, though...
THEY DIDN'T INTRODUCE ASUNA. WHERE'S THE FEMALE D:
I don't see how this isn't going to end up being a comedy. I get the feeling that every character will suddenly be all "I understand more about this person" every 5 seconds or something. Interesting concept.
Patiently waiting for commie to get out Tari Tari.
