@Maxie, if you can describe it (instrumentation, tempo, general feel i.e. hopeful/serious/dramatic, etc) that would help. I'm looking through the OST at the moment for stuff that sounds like it could match Edit: Here's a couple ones I found: (there's a number of other tracks that could match, but I couldn't find them on youtube with a brief search) + Show Spoiler + As an aside, it really says something about the soundtrack when "that awesome battle music" can refer to so many different possibilities. | ||

These writers are fucking trolls. Do they not care for my heart!!!?!? My god this game just went 180. Im being so trolled. Playing with fucking feelings I didnt know I had. I honestly thought I didnt give a shit for these charaters, | ||

And that other picture....whoa... + Show Spoiler + I've always been extremely hesitant of starting VNs that total 50+ hours because I just don't have the time and I'm afraid of messing up routes and stuff (i.e. I don't want to be completionist but not doing certain things makes me feel bad etc :X). But over the years I've read countless MuvLuv Alternative reactions and even though I know there's going to be a bigass tear-jerking twist by now, I'm considering it lol. I could be lying in a hospital bed for a week or something like that and in no position to work, so going through the whole series seems like something that could be really nice. Before getting on TLADT (so this was many years ago), I actually went through the whole thing but with ctrl syndrome, and lost a LOT of the plot etc. And MuvLuv definitely is one of the best VNs out there (or so I've heard) so I feel like I should give it a thorough going-through after I've gotten a lot older etc  | ||

I understand alternative is the big pay-off though, correct? Alternative so worth it, though keep in mind there's Extra and Unlimited to go through first, if you're looking at the total time needed | ||

 Sorry for the late edit!! But yeah, having to go through that much is the reason I was wary of starting the series (definitely 80+ hours). Doing it all in one go in that way would be pretty cool though for sure. Just gotta make sure the nurses don't come in at the worst time to see an H-scene >_> But wow, alternative came out 2006? Damn it feels like a long time since then. | ||

I think you have good taste in series, VNs, etc, so if it's your favorite VN bar none, then I'll definitely check it out. Not to mention those reactions have got to be worth something--where there's smoke, there's fire and all that. | ||

Then the PTSD arc is when he "goes back to Extra", and then ends with: So before you get to JAM Project you are in PTSD. Then after that, you learn tons more about Alternative IV and get to one of the coolest battles in the game. | ||

If your willing to go through 30 hours of medicore to just plain bad shit then ya its really good. Im really glad I went through it all because its so good now that ur so familiar with everything. It's sort of like good short stories, where going back and rereading it I recall some of them instantly down to the last detail; other ones I remember some parts but other parts (e.g. overarching plot, ending, characters, etc) are fuzzy; and other ones I don't recall having read at all. Usually if I don't already recall the general plot (and reading a few spoiler-free summaries online just to check did not), rereading it won't jog my memory. This is the situation with MLA so with luck, the ending should equate more or less to death by drowning in tears. ^^ | ||

Just a couple of weeks I finished every anime on my plan to watch list. I checked the recommendation on top and picked only Ga-Rei : Zero from that list. I've watched more than 90% on that list anyway.
