God I hate her. Things that "don't make sense" or things that are "contradictory" isn't the show's problem. Its the characters, its the plot, its the pacing. Turn your brain off and the only things good about it are a few good battles spread thinly across 12 episodes, a few cute girls (most of whom are really annoying), and thats it.
For the first few episodes I was like that. I thought it was pretty damn stupid and thought about dropping it. But from episode 3 or 4, till when Tabane shows up (9 or 10, don't remember), I thought it was a pretty enjoyable ride for a few weeks. It was just so stupid and silly and cliche. I found the show hilarious. I was glad I stuck with it.
The last few episodes were unbearable though. But at that point if I survived 10 episodes already, 2 more won't hurt me, so why not finish it?

Actually, it felt more like pure comedy because everything and everyone (especially MC) was so stupid. As for Tabane, I hate everything about her, especially her voice. Yet, she is a good example of how Yukarin is so talented. Does Tabane's voice that I despise and does Fear-chan's cute voice and then Fear's serious voice...how?

Blast, you really might as well as just download save data and look at CGs with the way you play these games, zz

On the even brighter side, Tatenashi for every vol following what the anime is up to.

Stuff like Infinite Stratos is great to be introduced to if youre still new to anime.
You dont wanna be exposed to all the "super good" stuff first, then not be able to enjoy the "brain dead" stuff later. I guess Im biased that way.

LMAO mostly for Sent and Kaal and anyone else who's seen G-Gundam
Unit Details No matter how tough it may be, you've gotta do what you gotta do (G Gundam)
Characteristics
- 99% rate of elegance
- Areas of strength:
- (Unit's) Skill-based
- Fast (in a lot of ways)
The Good
- It's a god! (kami dashi! <- kami = god)
- It has ridiculous burst!
- The machine cannon is boringly strong! And it goes bararararara!
- Its attack rating along with its skills make its CQC amazing! So strong!
- When you go into Hyper Mode you get combat armor! You just wail away at them!
- With King of Hearts Mode and Hyper Mode you can beat Noie and Dendoro in a straight fistfight!
- In Hyper Mode you can combo 8 times! Hit them! Destroy them!
- Quietly you also get ranged-damage resistance!
- The Choukyuu Haou Den'eidan is really fast and bendy!
- Bunshin Sappou! GOD SHADOOOOOOW!
The Bad
- It's paper! (kami dashi! <- kami = paper)
- I was firing my machine cannon when I suddenly started glowing and then I could only use melee attacks!
- I'm firing my machine cannon while going "VULCAAAAAAAAAN"!
Even if I get really close I go into Hyper Mode and knock them down Got turned into a stun after a patch
- Its hit box isn't very big... it's a special unit so I wanted at least something along the lines of Noble
- If you accidentally trigger Hyper mode you end up not being able to do anything, plus you can't cancel it
- The mirror images don't show up when you're in combat dash, and if you want to split apart as you close in you have to waste your boost guage
- Which means you end up being stuck in enemy lines with no boost...
- When you're in Hyper mode even if you use the Hide item you're so shiny they can still see you! What's the point!
How to Fight
The Premise of Its Two Skills
- The beginning
You can go around the back Or you can shoot your machine cannon up front Or you could sit around being as invisible as possible until you get the chance to party
- Early-game: the shoot-out arc
Always be near shelter Even if you win out in damage, if you take hits and start glowing you can't shoot back anymore 70% hp is really easy to fall to so you have to be careful But if you're afraid of dying and have a shootout but then you don't have enough gauge to become Elegant then you look retarded Also, if an enemy's within machine cannon range You can fight it out a bit, and when the enemy's hidden behind cover You can try to approach them using a path that looks like "the enemy's still staying in the same place," which makes it so that the enemy goes I was all set up for a shootout (uchiai <- uchi = utsu = to shoot) but it became an brawl (uchiai <- uchi = utsu = to strike)! God Slash Typhoon is recommended in such cases Even if they try to jump you'll snag them After that you just beat them up and use machine cannon to make sure they don't get knocked down, dear!
- Early-game: the flanking arc
It's good to walk alllllll the way around the edges of the map to avoid being seen If you're not seen, then find someone you can one-combo and nail them If you're seen, then play out the above section, but be prepared for a 1v4 version If that happens, you must have the will to understand you can't run away You should think of it as baiting the enemy (in a situation where your HP is down to 30% and your gauge is hardly filled) If you succeed in a sneak attack it's a huge triumph! It's a "ready, go!" to a future with hope! If you've partied a bit and become Hyper Throw Choukyuu Haou Den'eidan into enemy paper and then ignore them while you Godslash someone else to knock them down and then hit yet another person 8 times or knock them down after 5 and then "tactically withdraw!" If you stick around too long you'll definitely die! Don't go overboard! There are plenty of examples of teams that carry God and end up with an advantage until mid-game and then crumble late-game when God falls apart! As long as you're alive until the end, you're like an ace up a sleeve, so prioritize your own life over taking someone else's!
- Mid-game
- In Hyper Mode
You can immediately Special Attack Or you can go have a wild party
- If you're going to use SA then you can charge in with Choukyuu Haou Den'eidan -> SA but be wary of counter-SA
- If you're going for a wild party then get your team to do their best
In other words, use your team as bait If they're focused on you you can't do anything, so you should disappear once and then be forgotten But usually at least one enemy is focused on you So then you can just 1v1 them If a lot are looking at you then get your team to shoot them In that case don't even show up (don't take damage), losing HP for no reason hurts
- If you're using normal attack in Hyper mode be careful of enemy SA counters; bringing the combo to the 7th level as much as possible is important, and if you just want to knock them down you can just use God Slash
- I can't escape because I have no boost! In such a case you can use Choukyuu Haou Den'eidan as an emergency dodge
- If you're alive until the end-game
- Exactly! You must not give up!
Even if this body were to crumble! No matter the end, you cannot regret! As long as you're with friends you've shared time with!
- That's why, we must defeat him! Together!
- As long as we heat this fiery soul to its limits!
There is nothing we cannot defeat!
- My hand alights in red flames!
And rumbles and shouts to grab hold of victory!
The premise of having over-customized
- Just go party
And don't die
Things you should keep in mind
- Your mental status
If you're going to play serious then it requires very delicate positioning If you just wanna go brawn-for-brains then go WAHOO THIS IS SO FUN I'M RAMPAGING WE KILLED EVERYTHING It's fun either way (while despairing over F91V2BHAC)
- In normal mode Vulcan is good but God Slash Typhoon is pretty good too!
111133332 usually kills
- In Hyper Mode you can melee up to 8 times
11111112 usually kills
- If you see Heavy Arms Custom (Endless Waltz) you're dead
- Even one of those floating Zero Custom means you're dead
- You can't beamswap in Hyper Mode
But it has good base agility and short attack animation so you don't really feel a problem
Meaningless poll: (G Gundam) - 10 votes - 40% No matter how tough it may be, you've gotta do what you gotta do - 10 votes - 40% I want you (in a sexual way) - 4 votes - 16% BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKUNETSU! GOD!! FINGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!! - 1 vote - 4%

While I procrastinate on essay due to amusement, Turn A Gundam cause it was short:
Unit Details It's probably the strongest!
Characteristics
The Good
- You can destroy hte world
- Its ultimate attack is actually fatal
- Loran is KAWAII
- It has an I-field but it deflects physical weapons too
- Due to patching beams are reduced 70%, physical weapons 50% so even scissors hardly hurt
- The spinning attack after transforming has no reload so you can chain it forever
- Art of Melee works with the Hyper Hammer and it feels... so... good...
- The hammer toss after transforming has wicked power
- The Full Ranged Fire Special is easy to use
- #3 on pre-transform moves you forward and is very useful
- Due the patching the long post-animation has been reduced, too
- The beam rifle pierces
And is pretty strong
The Bad
- It's a pain to both enemies and allies
- For some reason there's none left
- Mustache
- Groin cockpit
- Moonlight Butterfly is left for SS or SR
- The power of nukes shouldn't be at the Scytharis (?) scale
- Its skills make it tanky but you end up being a pincushion in enemy lines if you just hammerspin
- Only has a beam rifle for range
- Even though it's a CQC unit, the skills don't give it boost or agility so it's sluggish
- It uses an AR Gold Sumo as its key component...
- Even though it got buffed, #1 is still kinda crappy...
How to Fight
- Fire your rifle! Get close! Hack and slash!
It's pretty orthodox
- If the enemy is laying supporting fire then use pre-transform #3 to put some melee damage on and then run away
- If you can rely on supporting fire for you then using post-transform hammerspin
Things you should keep in mind Let's celebrate the assimilation of Capsule Fighter! I sometimes throw nuclear missiles around in action games but let's not mind that

Quick question, sorry if this has been answered but I couldn't find the info. On the WAY first page of this thread, there is that list-picture of all the animes coming out in autumn 2011. Where can I find that list as it's own link rather than just a picture, and does any know if there are archives? I've been trying hard to find a new anime to watch, and I want to go back a bit from there to see if I can find anything.

Easiest way is to just go on google, type in the name of the chart (like Autumn 2011 anime Chart, Summer 2011 anime chart), and search for it. Normally its the first thing that turns up.

Alternatively do that in google image search :>

Yes, bring water, and you need glow sticks. Everyone will have them and you will feel super left out lol. Generally, you want a cooler color (like blue) and a hotter color (like red) depending on the song, but a lot of the super popular artists have an unwritten established color scheme for the glow sticks.
It's ok if you miss the concert. There's always next time. Nana isn't going anywhere, at least not for a few more years.

lol Blast, I still can't read kanji, but those faces tell me everything I need to know.
The reason lies in the way Nana Mizuki is marketed. If you look at how she appears in media, she looks like a beautiful, mature, songstress (uta-hime). Girls associate with that and go, ahh how wonderful, I want to be like that. And so Japanese females dig her quite a bit. Her songs are also not the dime a dozen commodity idol songs you hear all the time. She actually has the ability to sing! And her appearance at mainstream events such as the end of year Red-White concert has moved her beyond the anime audience and into the main stream.
Also, she is not marketed like an idol. She doesn't rely on her sexiness. She doesn't do gravure (at least as far as I know), she doesn't dress provocatively (she's no Koda Kumi), She doesn't make herself a commodity (like those AKB48 idols).
So with a super conservative image she gives a lot of people here the impression that she's some refined, high class, songstress, rather than some cheapo commodity. And I think it's the reason why she's popular.
Though maybe I am completely wrong, Nakagawa Shouko does all of those things that would normally turn away the women, and yet she has a ton of female fans too.
Oh 1 more thing: If you look at Nagisama's ticket. It says the name of the person who bought the ticket. 氏名: 和田 彩 Name: Wada Aya.
The person who bought Nagisama's ticket was a woman.

Looking at the Fall 2010 chart is so nostalgic...
+ Show Spoiler +
Ika Musume, TWGOK, Yosuga no Sora, Sora no Otoshimono, Motto To-Love Ru, and Ore no Imouto...
Damn that was a good season, and my first one too.

Too bad only like a total of 3 people in this thread actually followed it at the time. Subs were delayed by 1 week on Crunchy for some reason, so Uta would watch the raw and taunt me with screen shots, and I'd cave in and watch the raw just so I could get a taste of whats to come lol.

Wow, forced to watch something in raw has to be the most painful thing ever..
Edit: I plan to take Japanese as a elective course in the near future. Hopefully with that I can actually watch anime without subs, though I doubt I would be able to enjoy it the same way, even if I get to be super fluent in the language. Only thing I prolly look forward to would be to play Amagami on PS2. Yeh buddy!

Oh 1 more thing: If you look at Nagisama's ticket. It says the name of the person who bought the ticket. 氏名: 和田 彩 Name: Wada Aya. The person who bought Nagisama's ticket was a woman. Uh, the ticket was 10,000 yen. Which was pretty much what I was hoping to pay for. It's a ticket reselling shop in Takeshita dori. I think it was called Gorakudoh ticket shop. Here's the google maps my friend linked me to find it.
Although that picture is slightly outdated. I tried to use the Murasaki Sports shop across the road as a land mark and I completely walked past it. Then I realized it was torn down, and you can just make out the outline of where the sign use to be.
