I swear to god these better not be fake. You are 1 day away from experiencing true perfection and beauty. I would be jealous, but I actually had to use a lot of willpower to restrain myself from buying tickets to both concerts, including a flight there, since I sort of have these things called final exams next week =/ One thing to note that I've heard is bring a good amount of water, unless you don't plan to do much cheering. In that case, you don't deserve a ticket -Once in a lifetime concert opportunity -Final exams How can you pass it up? You aren't a true Nana fan. You have no idea how much I struggled with that decision. Since finals are worth between 40 and 100% (yup) of my final grade, I would actually have been better off just not going to school at all this entire year because I would actually be behind a full year due to how scheduling works. So it was more like: a concert that's more epic than Nana's usual concerts in exchange for an entire year of my life...can't do that. If it was anywhere in the U.S., I don't think I would've made the same decision. For Nagisama: http://www.tokyo-dome.co.jp/dome/seat/ try to find your seat? edit: oh yeah how has Horizon been? I dropped it at like ep3. Has it gotten better? Also wondering the opinion of someone who's read it. I asked the guy, and he pointed at the map of Tokyo Dome, which was oriented differently than the link, but I THINK it's here? Around that area. http://www.tokyo-dome.co.jp/dome/seat/#/A-backnet/A20 I'm pretty sure that it says (the ticket): Gate 21 Section 20 Row 29 Seat 131 Don't quote me on it, though. Congratulations! Those tickets certainly look real to me! What was the markup like? Can you introduce that store to me? :O I might want to try it some time. I'm from Toronto too! Yes, bring water, and you need glow sticks. Everyone will have them and you will feel super left out lol. Generally, you want a cooler color (like blue) and a hotter color (like red) depending on the song, but a lot of the super popular artists have an unwritten established color scheme for the glow sticks. It's ok if you miss the concert. There's always next time. Nana isn't going anywhere, at least not for a few more years. On December 03 2011 03:42 KazeHydra wrote: No one ever believes me when I tell them Nana has more female fans than males. Instead, they give me this look that says "sure, Kaze, you can believe that if you want." It's really interesting that it's true though; any idea why it's like that? As someone living in Japan, I'd guess you have a much better idea than whatever theories I come up with.
lol Blast, I still can't read kanji, but those faces tell me everything I need to know. The reason lies in the way Nana Mizuki is marketed. If you look at how she appears in media, she looks like a beautiful, mature, songstress (uta-hime). Girls associate with that and go, ahh how wonderful, I want to be like that. And so Japanese females dig her quite a bit. Her songs are also not the dime a dozen commodity idol songs you hear all the time. She actually has the ability to sing! And her appearance at mainstream events such as the end of year Red-White concert has moved her beyond the anime audience and into the main stream. Also, she is not marketed like an idol. She doesn't rely on her sexiness. She doesn't do gravure (at least as far as I know), she doesn't dress provocatively (she's no Koda Kumi), She doesn't make herself a commodity (like those AKB48 idols). So with a super conservative image she gives a lot of people here the impression that she's some refined, high class, songstress, rather than some cheapo commodity. And I think it's the reason why she's popular. Though maybe I am completely wrong, Nakagawa Shouko does all of those things that would normally turn away the women, and yet she has a ton of female fans too. Oh 1 more thing: If you look at Nagisama's ticket. It says the name of the person who bought the ticket. 氏名: 和田 彩 Name: Wada Aya. The person who bought Nagisama's ticket was a woman. Uh, the ticket was 10,000 yen. Which was pretty much what I was hoping to pay for. It's a ticket reselling shop in Takeshita dori. I think it was called Gorakudoh ticket shop. Here's the google maps my friend linked me to find it. Although that picture is slightly outdated. I tried to use the Murasaki Sports shop across the road as a land mark and I completely walked past it. Then I realized it was torn down, and you can just make out the outline of where the sign use to be. Damn, so many glow stick colours wtf?!@# Wonder if I can find like some sort of all purpose glow stick in akiba like this oneO yeah Blast, here's a picture I took when I was in China just for you . + Show Spoiler +
Wow ow. I need one of those. Maybe Don Quxote in Akita will carry it.
From the japanator, Lol I didn't even know azunyan requires turquoise. I knew miku requires green and white though.
Might want to look up Nana's colors. Don't be THAT GUY with the pink stick when everyone has blue lol.
Also, 10,000 yen is a steal. Maybe because that seat is relatively far away and the venue is huge so supply is not as limited. I paid out the ass for miku 39 and mikupa last year.

After re-reading KazeHydra's Guide to Anime Music, orange and blue seem to be safe bets for her colours. Her floor in Gamers also sells glow sticks from what I remember, mb I'll check that out before going.

God I hate her. I'm usually good at turning my brain off to watch those kinds of shows, but IS still annoyed me with excess stupidity despite that. Actually, it felt more like pure comedy because everything and everyone (especially MC) was so stupid. As for Tabane, I hate everything about her, especially her voice. Yet, she is a good example of how Yukarin is so talented. Does Tabane's voice that I despise and does Fear-chan's cute voice and then Fear's serious voice...how? Look on the bright side, the anime only gave you one vol's worth of Tabane. Unfortunately she is appearing in every following vol afaik. On the even brighter side, Tatenashi for every vol following what the anime is up to. Is that bad T.T ??? that I enjoy looking at CGs. Besides I try to read the story too!!!

Most (if not all) anime re-makes of Marvel related works have been horrible iirc.

I forgot glow sticks at Miku concert and it was...very sad. The waving patterns are generally pretty logical with the melody and it won't be hard to just follow what everyone else is doing. The jumping times are less so; you might want to look up more Nana videos if you want to be more coordinated, though you aren't going to learn everything in a day. At least learn when to shout "Eternal Blaze" and the 2 jumps that occur after; it feels like one of the most epic coordination every time I watch it. Turns out she sung Synchrogazer last night *o* edit: just found a radio rip. wow instant love with this song.
@Necrophantasia: yeah makes sense. Incidentally, Nana's lack of "sexual appeal" (like it matters, she's the most beautiful woman in the world) is one of the reasons I like her so much. Relies pretty much completely on her talent and singing abilities rather than drawing in fans through fan service (there are exceptions though hehe). I'm so glad Nana is getting Kohaku every year now. She really deserves it and I hope she continues to get it. And on an unrelated note, I found your twitter (lol obvious name) while stalking danie's for Queen's Night info. I should just make one so I can stop stalking twitters.

it definately is a little gem only bad thing is that the chapters are so short but the art is superb in exchange

Yea they were all pretty bad dont watch them. Unless you want convenient excuses (cept wolverine funnily) for Marvel characters to get into big shit in Japan.

well in the last few weeks it came out pretty regularly. So today was a new chapter on mangafox so I suppose it is every week on saturdays?

holy crap, the last chapter ends so cliffhanger what the fuck are we going to do
|
Fate/Zero: + Show Spoiler +I didn't expect them to get an entire episode out of that little part. But they pulled it off, and it didn't feel dragged out or anything. Although, in the LN, did Rin confront Ryuunosuke like she did here? I remember she snuck into town, looked around, and then some monster attacked her, and Kariya saved her. I don't remember her ever finding her friend and saving a bunch of kids from Ryuunosuke. Well, either way, they executed that stuff good enough, and I enjoyed it.
