I absolutely love shows/OVAs/movies like
Violence Jack Devilman Yoshiaki Kawajiri's movies Berserk Hokuto No ken Angel Cop AD Police files Bubblegum Crisis Akira Ghost in the shell
You know those movies that usually have a huge blue toned skyline and a neo-film-noir feel to it, i absolutely love those movies!
Scryed Getter Robo Armageddon Gunbuster (gainex btw) Pretty much any Gundam show (Zeta, G, and 08th MS Team are the best from that era)

I have seen the Gunbuster movies/OVA's or whatever they're called, but i haven't seen the other ones you mentioned, will check them out.
Can anyone recommend some good shoujo animes and/or mangas? Anything is fine by me, because I know nothing, and I want to get into the genre. Any help would be appreciated.
Well hell, that's one way to do your shopping, Hercules style, I wonder compared to Ciel, Lancer is like awesome, but he's the butt of every joke in F/SN side of things

Kimi ni Todoke Kuragehime Skip Beat Love so Life Say I love you Dengeki Daisy Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu Faster then A kiss
those are some I would recommend. To get into the Genre Love so Life might be best. It is not full on ikemen focus and gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling plus it has toddlers.

I would be glad to hear your flaming opinions of Maria Holic. I'll probably watch it just because it's made by Shaft. What should I expect from it as anime and as a Shaft's anime?

Pretty good week actually for GC. I thought the manipulating Shu thing was pretty much expected, but overall the way it's executed is done just fine. I'm appreciating the music and the insert songs. They're driving everything for me right now.
Inori is cute as always. Not a lot of wheelchair-chan and nyan-chan, but there might be more in the next episode.
Also, is it just me or is the transmitter just going to be one of those things where Shu will learn to trust Gai and then throw it away? I can't see it being used.
