She is amazing, I saw an interview somewhere that said she is right handed but learned how to use her left hand because Arya is left handed.
5th episode looks totally nuts. I'm guessing Ned gets betrayed by Robert after the Lannister incident gets back to everyone in king's landing. Are the Starks going to all make it out of King's landing alive I wonder? I hope nothing bad happens to Arya and I hope Tyrion's penis falls off.

Love the feeling of immersion you get from this series as it does a good job of covering several characters. Still, if there's one minor complaint I do have, it would also have to be that very detailed pacing. I'm sure avid fans of the books appreciate how close the series stays true, but I feel that certain actors have been stealing the show (Jon Snow, Arya, Tyrion) and I get rather disappointed another Targaryen scene comes up.
Oh well.. can't wait for the next Sunday!
I felt the same way while reading the books about the Targaryen scenes. The way the other plotlines intertwine makes them more interesting at least at this point. Daenerys'(sp.) story does get more interesting but I usually stopped reading the books on those chapters.
Also, does anyone know if there is a way to make your sc2 background that gif?
Same, I always looked forward to the Eddard, Tyrion or Jon chapters, and usually quit reading for the night when Bran, Sansa or Daenery's came up, at least in Book 1.
I've stopped reading Bran and Sansa sections, sometimes Catelyn too. They're just so damn painfully boring compared to anything else.
I fully agree that the atleast the Sansa parts aren't too interesting. But just as the people above i would advice you to read it ^^, just to get a better picture of what's going on.

Just watched the 4th episode, quite good
I was so bored when I read the part about Daenerys, it takes ages before she even get to do anything worth mentionning. I was so tired about all these Targaryen chapter because it felt sooooooo far from the major scene (well until some point of course). But, in the TV show, I don't felt that thing that much. I mean, even if Daenerys' story is so far from the main course right now, it's still interesting to hear her side of the story and how she is more and more becoming.. well something else.

He just seems so delighted at every barb and witticism he throws out, he carries himself like a Lannister would and just does a fabulous job. Along with the young lady playing Arya and Aiden Gillan(Littlefinger), Dinklage headlines the great casting of Game of Thrones.
Yes those are my three favorite actors as well (in particular Dinklage).
Anyway, this latest episode (4) was a bit of a let-down for me. It seems really quite uneventful aside from the ending, which was really interesting (yet hate when that happens). This whole show kinda moves slow and isn't supposed to be a super juicy action or drama I suppose, but still, wasn't that interesting this time.
I think the first episode wasn't the greatest to me either, but obviously you need to introduce all the characters and such in the first episode, so it kinda makes sense, or at least is forgivable for it to be a bit dry at the start.
As far as I remember, I really liked episodes 2 and 3 though.

While I won't spoiler anything much, I will say that you will learn to love Tyrion. He's without a doubt one of the best characters in the story.

Too detailed for enjoyment, which is what I'm reading for. I've read about three Bran sections that are the same thing over and over. I skip to where the quotes begin and gather the only "meat" of the section. It'd be interesting to see how many pages of the first book are itself recycled. It's like watching Naruto - half of one episode is the flashbacks from the two previous.
God the scene with Catelyn was as embarrassing and lol-worthy as I thought it would be when I read it... + Show Spoiler +
the ending of the fourth
Danys or however you spell it don't feel as crazy horse people as I imagined, so I'm skipping them quite a bit. Sale not enough and people not as awesome as I thought.
I feel like too much goes on in the series. Too much to keep track of. The pacing of a book works well, but the condensing hurts the story.

First of all skipping is alway's bad ^^..But the reason why it feels like too much is going on.Is because they only have a certen amount of episode's they have for a season which is 10,So they're trying to get the 1st book done within 10 episode. Which is the season.I think as of right now they are doing a fantastic job.
I thought it was a nice touch for Viserys to exhibit pain when subjected to the candle wax, clear symbolism there as a contrast to Daenerys from the first episode

The fact that they have to set up all of the viewpoints at the beginning makes the show seem very condensed. After the setup, which seems to end next episode, the action should begin to heat up. Also with a more neutral viewpoint, we lose that internal dialogue which helps to expand on events and seeing the same event from multiple characters perspectives.
I also think that this part is more boring to someone who has read the books and already knows the back story, than someone new to the series. I think that they have done a good job of setting up the story quickly so they are able to move on to the meat of the plot.

You're going to miss out on some really important events. There is a reason why the author chose to tell the story through these characters. They all have significant roles in the overall story.

You're spot on. It's practically impossible to condense a book of nearly a 1000 pages into a 10-15 hour long miniseries.
The book is always better than the film. I actually prefer reading over watching a movie, but then again I've got a lot of imagination. I can read for hours at an end if the book is good enough (wouldn't be the first time I read a 700 page book in one weekend).
Now if only someone would make a series of Raymond Feist's "Rift War Saga.."

He has a point though, especially Sansa had some extremely boring parts.
Anyhow, I didn't like the actor for Catelyn very much the first episodes. Just didn't.. look like the image I had conjured of her in my mind. But shit, the tavern scene was amazing. Chills all over, the delivery was just perfect. Would've liked if she asked a few more for more of a build up, but hey, it worked.
dear readers: when does something good happen? lots of politics and character set up.. can we expect an action sequence in the next 2-3 episodes? the show is starting to lose me. 4 shows in and the best thing that happened was a boy geting pushed off a ledge =/

Lots of good stuff has happened. You probably shouldn't watch this show if you are just in it for the action scenes ^^. That said however it does start picking up , here is the preview for next weeks episode that looks like it has a few scenes you might like

This is an example of a spoiler where you tell which characters are going to survive (I spoiler marked it). Try to avoid doing that. (And about the second part of your post, her name is Catelyn).
