It was nice and funny at first, now he's just a clown.
Nope, not even a little bit. I still laughed...a lot.

How are Westerosi going to take down a dragon once it is big enough that arrows don't do anything anymore? How many dragons did the original Targaryans have, probably more than 3; and did the people of Westeros know how to deal with the dragons? Probably not at first. If I remember correctly from talks in the first season, dragons didn't go 'extinct' because of a natural cause or something, they were all hunted down. During the Dothraki-segments, Daenarys asked her helpers about the dragons, who told her that they were all slain by men. On the other hand, when Joffrey told about the dragons (or someone else) to Sanza, he said the dragons got smaller and weaker towards the end. So maybe if Daenerys' dragons are one of the larger types, they might end up being nearly invincible, but I don't think it's 100% certain that this makes them 'undefeatable'. Oh sure, we absolutely can't know what kind of dragon Dany's will be: The monsterous conquering type or smaller weaker ones - they are however already bigger than the dog-size freaks Visyries described in the bath tub scene. Speaking of that scene, the whore girl said brave men killed the dragons, but then Visirys corrects her.
The original dragons were big enough though to burn and melt down the castle Harrenhall. In season one Arya hides inside of the skull of one - standing upright. That thing must have been huuuuuuge. No way their conventional medieval arms would do anything to a dragon that size.

Or something to that effect.

This might just be the first episode that actually reduced the number of the cast.
Also, did they recast Lysas castle?

yes

You could argue that Season 1 and Season 4 show just different perspectives of castle Eyrie.
Also I'm confused: Is it now Lysa Arryn, Lysa Tully or Lysa Littlefinger?
|
Lysa Baelish, Littlefinger is his nickname, Petyr Baelish is his full name.

I dunno.. about ez win for Dany. The Targs who conquered most of Westeros were legitimate warriors riding dragons from Valyria and Dany is a chobo compared to them.

Thing with dragons is that they are a force multiplier not a sole weapon of conquering. Not even the original Targeryans had only dragons, they had a pretty feeble army with dragons and the dragons didn't just do everything on their own.
It's one thing trying to kill 3 dragons being able to set up your entire army with ranged weapons in good positions, it's quite another when you actually have to form battle lines and march on the enemy. The moral hit of a dragon swooping down and burning your lines when they are engaged should break even elite infantry allowing your army to just run them down. And in a general battle you can't focus on just the dragons because they can be anywhere and they will not be where your ballistas are, they will be breaking your lines where the fighting is.
So can you kill 3 dragons, even fully grown? Probably yes. Can you kill 3 dragons plus a small army? Probably no way in hell.
Plus the moral effect is huge. It's hard to say what would happen when (if) Dany arrives in Westeros but if she only had her unsullied and other rabble it's fair to say people would probably be "meh" about it but if she comes riding in on a freaking dragon it's a lot more probable both nobility and smallfolk would rally to her.

"don't go too close to that hut, they have hounds which might smell us" "it's a new moon" - "right, we attack at sundown"
*proceed to rush through the main entrance shouting loudly*
You know nothing, Jon Snow ,-)

lol fucking Hound has so many awesome quotes haha just gotta love that guy. Surprised Needle didn't manage to penetrate his chain west though.
So sad that Bran and Jon didn't meet =/ I haven't read the books but it really seems like any startk family members getting a reuinion seems impossible -.-

she has no muscles, how's she gonna push that shit through his mail even with a straight shot If there's one thing this show really downplays, it's how good armor is in reality. Armor in this show is pointless still get limbs hacked off instantly

The way I saw it they were trying a more stealthy approach and a mutineer sounded the alarm. At that point you may as well form up and charge the camp as a group.

omo just saw the ep6 preview, seems like we finally get the trial and Tyrion's epic speech that was teased in the long trailer.
And is that man talking to Stannis, Sherlock Holmes' brother in Sherlock??

Are you kidding? The reveal about Lysa and Littlefinger was the biggest thing so far this season in my opinion. Because now we know the things that happened in season 1 between the Starks and Lannisters were all because of Littlefinger's plan (even if not everything neccessarily happened in the way he expected). This is pretty big...

Yeah and further shows how bat crazy Lysa is that she had Tyrion on trial for the murder of her Husband when she did it herself.

Yeah, that revelation was a game-changer. You knew that Littlefinger had his fingers in a lot of different pies, but now you see that almost all the cogs have been moving at his command. After this season, I want to go back and watch to see the implications of this throughout the show, but at this point it's a mind-fuck. It's almost super-human to think he was planning for everything that's been coming.
