I think we just saw the first transformation to a Super Saiyan lol. I wonder just how powerful he's going to be after this. Based on what we have so far, I'm presuming Shang is stronger than Ah Gou's uncle which says quite a bit (limitless energy). Wonder if Ah Gou will win this fight >.>

Well Ah Gou was also incredibly weak when he was in the mines, and we haven't seen a glimpse of Shang for all these years, so it's quite believable that he has a ton of power. The only problem I have is not with his power level, but with how little limelight the author gave to the boy during the Mine story, and now suddenly he's an important char.

Definitely a new move that Ah Gou wasn't prepared for so I wonder how he plans to deal with it. The best method seems to be to block out the sound though I dunno how viable it is and what he can use (focus monochrome on his ears? lol). Other than that, I still find it a bit hard to believe that Shang is that strong but again, it's just some new move and a shield using smelting aura, nothing amazingly impressive. I wonder just how much stronger these honored ones are and if Ah Gou will end up leaving Dark Ones' city after this or not. Monochrome was this barrier or attack mechanism that slowly choked an opponent (made it hard to breath etc...) but recently, it doesn't feel as strong anymore. I don't know if its because the author figured out that it's OP and nerfed it in Ah Gou's absence or if Ah Gou just never used it to his full potential. As mentioned ^, it was even said to be close to Tian's level which to me indicates that he's close to getting to its upper limit (white wall or w/e that move was called that Tian used on his uncle). Well, true, it wouldn't be surprising if he's really strong however with Ah Gou, his divine power by itself is close to Tian's level. That divine power is quite feared because of how strong it is (defense and offensive). I dunno, it just feels like Shang came out of nowhere and is all of a sudden challenging Ah Gou to a fight that he shouldn't win. Anyways, wrote more in spoiler above.

Chinese readers would automatically know he's going to be an OP centerpiece at one point or another.

+ Show Spoiler + I think from this point on against White Creed people he will have to rely on his God and Dark powers

While I don't hate smelting aura technique, I prefer he uses monochrome a lot more. It's a pretty powerful technique and I think variations of it would make it more interesting. I mean, why can't he get it to white wall or w/e the final upgrade for the move is? I'm pretty sure all those smelting aura users wouldn't be able to fight against that at all, then again, maybe having a body from smelting aura makes you immune to that? His dark powers aren't that strong tbh. I mean, he knows spiritize, cool, so what? no limit break and I think he caught his opponent by surprise with the moon rounds bouncing back etc... it's definitely a cool thing that he can do with his spritize though but still, I think any opponent will a good grasp of his attack and a defensive mechanism will have no problems with it. His monochrome is his ace imo. Being able to create an immovable wall while affecting your opponent physically etc... is pretty big. Either way, I think these White Creed people are another obstacle. For some reason, I feel like we'll have the Gods and Dark Powers work together against the White Creed. The balance of power will shift towards the humans' end if what I'm thinking comes true. On a side note, hope we see what happened to the Gods. Nothing since they got the powers from the ancient Gods.

I am also disappointed that it seems to be thrown to the side in favour of smelting aura and spiritize. I mean, ya, I realize we had a decent number of chapters having Ah Gou develop it to the level it is today especially since a good portion of chapters were about having to get back against the Gods etc... but it's one of those moves that I love to see being used. One thing though, I think Tian also had great strength and tons of experience but monochrome is definitely one of those moves that elevated him on top of everything else ![]()
