At the start I thought that evil sorceress had an affair with Tian, so she might be the mother. Would explain why she tells phoenix guy to live on and search for a purpose in his life. I mean he's clearly not a dragon. Yellow dragon also calls him "a new god", despite guessing that he's the son of Tian. Tian's gotta be the most bored guy ever. + Show Spoiler + He lets his enemies survive and doesn't destroy the world just because he thinks that that would be less interesting than stalking the mc. I think he declined the offer to show his growth as a character. He has found things to fight for, even if the odds are against him. We saw a glimpse of that when he sent his uncle away to protect the last dark ones. Or when he threw away small phantom island's spirit's offer to sacrifice herself to save him. It's obviously the son of Kong Que; the one who got kidnapped and presumably indoctrinated by Shen Yen. He seems to be at the remnants of the Crystal Mountain, holding a particular crystal which can be assumed to contain the transcendent vigor of Shen Yen/Pan Gu since he doesn't know the meaning of giving up. This could be setup for a s4 in the near future, or a new series contained within the FSJ universe.

Even if Shen Yen returned, he would get his ass handed to him by Ah Gou and co. There must be some other reason they'll show that last scene though?

But your explanation for who the kid at the end is makes sense. I assumed that it's supposed to hint at a rebirth of Shen Yen, but failed to identify the kid.

Found this manghua a little less than 3 years ago, and have mostly kept up with reading the translated release each week as they came out. Glad that it had a satisfying conclusion, but will be sad that it is now over. Was definitely a good journey. The art was especially incredible.

You'll think that's she'll have a bit more interaction with someone who is her son. That said I do remember her being called by her father as a something to Tian but it seemed to be a figuritive, not literally. It just seems odd that there is no mother revealed if it isn't Tian's wife and that Tian gives no shit about his only son. It's just such an odd circumstance that I would had thought that he wasn't truly his son, but nope the other dragon god firmly establishes that he is indeed his son. Dunno, Phoenix guy doesn't seem to harbor ill feelings for her, despite her being the source of the curse. Also we know that she's highly ambitious, so if Shen Yen commanded her to put a curse on phoenix guy she might actually do it, even if phoenix guy was her son. Imo their relationship at the end is somewhat peculiar anyways, they talk a lot about the curse and she decides not to lift it because she wishes for him to find a raison d'être. That's a pretty intrusive decision to make if you ask me. @Phoenix guy-Tian-relationship: + Show Spoiler + Tian is pretty weird in regards to his son. He gives him blood spear vs yellow dragon, but then takes it back and doesn't mention him while talking about reshaping the world. Either the author didn't plan his revival two chapters before it happens, or Tian doesn't give a shit about him or he just assumes that Phoenix guy survives the reshaping.
