Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans who decried Michael Bay's plans to put an alien spin on the turtle origins, you may have just gotten your wish to see the characters left alone granted. And then some. The Hollywood Reporter has broken word that the upcoming, live action, big screen reboot of the popular characters has been shut down, with Paramount pulling the plug and laying off the Vancouver based staff who had already been hard at work on pre-production. At issue, apparently, is a script that the studio had no confidence in. Will the Jonathan Liebesman directed film be able to rebound? It has happened in these circumstances before but, more often than not, when projects get shut down like this they stay shut down. Source: TwitchFilm.com I'm glad they shot the project down.

And judging a film before watching it (or the trailer for that matter) isn't very mature. Because the premise of this movie is ruining many MANY people's nostalgic childhood. It basically destroys the entire premise as it changed the many key aspects of what made the original great. That along is enough for critics to judge it before seeing it.

No idea how Donatello ended up with an ability to 'do machines'.
