The reason why Avatar L.T.A.B. worked so well is because each season built on one another. This is the water, where he learns water. Than the water sets up earth. And than Earth sets up fire. And than you Gain a continuous season in which, at the end of every season, you have something new to look forward into the new season. That makes every season 'worth' something and continuous. I feer that Korra is creating a Vacuum series. IN which every season is its own thing, which takes away from the 'experience.' since now: NOTHING MATTERS. Maybe if Korra's powers corrupted her and she became the main villian then next season could be interested. But yeah, honestly everything you said pretty much sums it up. TLA was one of my all time favorite series, but this has left me not barely excited for next season of Korra.

Like seriously I was gonna flip a shit if Lin didn't get her earthbending back she's one of the coolest characters imo Tarlok picks up the shock glove on the boat knock Amon out and become the new bad guy The show really did feel wayyy too short, but hey I like what I got. Hopefully either+ Show Spoiler + Amon and Tarlok survived and there is a convincing reason for them to still be villains In regards to the lack of foreshadowing, that dream about Yakon that Aang sent to Korra when Tarlok captured her technically also warns her against Tarlok and Amon, Korra just didn't really read that much into it or even really have a reason to tbh. Other than Tarlok and Amon's hatred for their father yet they still do what he wanted them to, I didn't have any logical problems with that whole situation. And, maybe its just me, but I was totally expecting Aang to show up and energybend Korra, that's what being able to commune with your past lives gets you I guess. Although I still don't understand how Katara couldn't just reverse-bloodbend Korra's bloodbending back...

AMON AND TARLOK, imagine that?! wtf but damn, that tear from Amon really had me thinking that he knew what Tarlok was going to do and he accepted his fate. He seemed so happy that they might be able to start over, but maybe Tarlok knew things wouldn't be the same and Amon, being the badass water/blood bender he is, sensed what Tarlok was doing and cried. i think the ending of that would have worked really well for a book three korra END FINALE, especially if they larger scaled everything...but not as a book 1 ending. The series itself though has seemed very, "I don't know if the fans are going to like this enough for us to continue on." She's centered in republic city, putting you in a small ass world. The fire nation is headed by zuko...and there's literally no chance of him being a threat unless his death results in a crazy fucking son and general iroh being exiled and JOINING THE AVATAR AS A CAST MEMBER TO ZJAKSLDFJ;ASKDLFJASDLFKJASDFKLJ-MELTING. but really. the only thing i see is a random plot device. there isn't a whole lot of story to continue upon. the firelord could die and someone could attack in his place as the new head of the fire nation. one of tenzin's brothers could appear suddenly as an evil fuck. the spirit world could go crazy. what's his butt the inventor is still alive and maybe free. i know i have a bit of nostalgia about aang as i recently am watching more of the original...but despite being able to say, "yeah okay both series had moments where both character sets were just cheesy and childish in every way (though korra is so much worse in this aspect holy shit)...book 1 went to book 2 went to book 3...and really the world was big enough that if they'd wanted to extend it over and over and over they actually could have fairly easily with the series still ending in the same place. also also did young narlok have aangs voice actor? and. older aang. i want more older aang. really i just want aangs adventures extended as an adult.

Knowing that he had insane "psychic" blood bending abilities, he probably felt his brother's movements and knew what he was doing. I mean, his brother was the only blood element on that boat aside from himself. Kinda hard not to feel its movements hey? :D

I liked the character of Korra a lot more than Aang and I think she would have made a much more interesting series if her character had gotten mroe time to develope. Everything was so rushed in the season finally.

Nick originally wanted a 1 season mini-series and didn't sign on for more seasons until after the production of season 1 was done. That's why everything raps up I just finished it, and I'm pretty impressed. About future seasons---I didn't know it was originally supposed to be one season. I think it might have been best if they pulled a Bakuman and ended it now, where it ends naturally. No Mello and Near nonsense for Korra.

The next season will be awesome as she is a full Avatar, unlike Aang, who rarely ever used firebending. He just had god-level airbending with the occasional water and earth attack thrown in. In the next season we get to see Korra mix it up with all 4 elements! Just like the opening scene in The Last Airbender that showed Avatar Roku using all the elements. That was so sick! Now we get to see Korra do it? Hell yeah! :D As for people wondering with the story, a new thing can easily arise. In the Last Airbender there was no shortage of new problems or enemies to face from episode to episode. And hell, we even loved the episodes that were hilarious when Aang just chilled and practiced bending. There didn't always need to be a constant enemy for us to enjoy it. Watching them explore ancient areas and discover more spiritual stuff was always awesome. Remember when Aang went to the spirit world? Epicness.

It definitely felt rushed, but I still think it was very good, and the rest of the season as a whole made up for an "ok" finale. I don't think they'll have any problem coming up with some other threat to make a good season 2.

I personally think it was the joy that he had his brother back and how they were going to start anew. A lot of people think the tear meant that Amon knew what Tarrlok was going to do but didn't do anything to stop him and accepted it (Saying that Amon is always very aware of his surroundings).

The main bad guy had been killed at the end of TLA's first season too. But just like in TLA, the villain's organization still exists. Just like killing Zhao didn't end the Fire Nation, killing Amon won't end the Equalist movement. Remember, plenty of non-benders still feel oppressed and harbor sympathy for the Equalists (me included). Honestly, I think LOK's strongest points have been when it deals with societal struggles, which would make season 2 incredible. All the romance and pro-bending nonsense is out of the way, so we can have a whole season focusing on the big cultural issues.
