Some of you guys were expecting the epitome of good making making i take it ? i find them to be entertaining enough to watch , expect an action film with a little twist and you get just that.
wish they would make them a little bit more " survival horror " like though, would fit the setting a bit more.
This looks very interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Although these sorts of franchises get crappy at times, it is still interesting to see how they evolve. As we move from film to film in the series, you can almost hear the studio execs hatching up what the next one will be and how it will be different and how it will still harken back to earlier films.
I like RE the moives i mean i rather have them than not, tho i do some of the games and i've seen degeneration and its okay but it doesnt have the moive real-ness i guess, becasues it kinda tired to be too realistic with the animation even tho it was kinda like an anime just werid, but like i said before i rather have them than not

do you mean game? because the first RE movie was in 2002....

I think I watched a whole 12 seconds of the last movie (name not worth remembering) before I wanted to give myself a frontal lobotomy with a rusty spoon.
It breaks my heart, really, because the first resident evil movie is one I could watch anytime, it was so good.
Not really. The movies have been making enough money for the company to greenlight a next movie.

And the original Resi was 1996.
Anyway, they're still making these films? I don't get who watches these. Who likes this? What's the appeal? Seriously I wonder.
I tought this was an ad for sony, but then Mila popped up and I tought holy shit another shitty ass RE movie, except this one doesnt relate at all with the series OH WAIT THERES ADA THEN SURELY THIS IS RE >_>.............................
It was painfully obvious how low the production value was of the last RE movie in comparison to the previous ones. I don't hold out hope for this one to be spectacular.
Wow, people really still watching that crap? I mean seriously, I stopped at #3 and it was already just ridiculous and from what I've heard it didn't get any better in the next one(s?). I mean it's not really speaking to fans of the game, is it? I wonder who the target audience is for this.

Ummm... what? Did you even see this movie in 3D? Low production value... lol. Was the most beautiful 3D movie ever to be seen! People were all ranting and raving about Avatar in 3D (even though it was a shit movie lol) but the last RE... omfg dat shower scene was soooooooo beautiful.
Also, the first RE movie made like $40mil, the 2nd and 3rd ones made $50mil, and the 4th one made $60mil. Seeing as how that's a decent amount for what it costs to make, and that the movies have been steadily climbing in how much they earn at box office, i'd say it's damn worth it to keep making the movies
*edit*
Sorry those numbers are US Box office, the movies made more in other places as well.
Here's the latest movie's stats from IMDB:
Budget: $60,000,000 (estimated) Opening Weekend: $26,650,264 (USA) (12 September 2010) (3203 Screens) Gross: $296,221,663 (Worldwide) (9 January 2011)
Now to me, $60mil budget and almost $300mil gross? totally worth making more
I liked Resident Evil 1 2 & 3 to be completely honest. Number four was terrible for me though in my opinion, like it was just awful how ALL the clones died in such a poor manner.
Like yeah I understand you cant have a movie where she is basically god with a million clones but it was just stupid how they all died imo.
Also the part where she loses her powers was just silly..Number four ruined it all for me, I hope this movie does well, I am really just saying "Please don't suck please don't suck" over and over.
Yes, I'm bumping this thread. Because I just saw the movie. Resident Evil: Retribution. And after seeing it, I can tell you there will probably be a 7th movie. The characters are all a bit of a move from the video game series, but that's okay.
On the other hand, if you have seen the movie, tell me that you didn't think the same thing I did. At the very, very end. As in, the last 30 seconds or so of the movie.
