Anyone watching "Inpiring Generation" ? It seems to have great ratings and was wondering if I should watch it.
As always, I favor action/adventure over romance. I'm also always open to some good comedy!
Inspiring Generation is the only drama I'm watching at the moment and I like it. Like you said, you favor action/adventure and Inspiring Generation has fighting scenes in every episode. Story kinda slow at the moment but that's the same with any drama.

My top recommendation for now is Let's Eat. An interesting cable drama in that it's main thing is watching other people eat. Not nearly as weird as it sounds. It's funny, and while there isn't that much in the way of drama, it's the first korean show I've watched in a long time that had me counting days until the next episode.
Let's Eat is.. gorgeous. I could not recommend it more.
This needs to be watched on a full stomach or with food =(
Just finished Let's Eat. Really fantastic drama from start to finish. + Show Spoiler +
Attorney Kim was my favorite character. The dinner scene with him and Lee Soo Kyung in the last episode killed me, so sad. Second male leads never get the girl.
My Love From Another Star really deserves its hype.....cant believe I was in tears for 2 episodes straight (20&21). Never been this emotionally attached to a drama in a while.
I've watched several Korean historical dramas, but none has even come close to the intensity of Tear of a Dragon. There have been some good ones, like Immortal Yi Sun Shin, Tree with Deep Roots, Great King Sejong, and... I guess Hong Gil Dong for humor and Age of the Wanderers for action. So far majority of the one's I've come across are just outrageously inaccurate or chick flick/not important. Age of Warriors seems promising so far, but can you guys give me any suggestions?
P.S. Please don't suggestion something like "Faith", "Yi San", or "Dong Yi".

Probably best drama 2013 but I've not seen Love from another star (yet).
hmm the ending eps weren't that strong for me, i feel it needs 1 more ep tho
Yeah, unfortunately It went downhill in the last 2 episodes with a super lame ending and an ever worse kiss (especially since the show started so spicy).
I enjoyed The Princess' Man back when it aired. Probably not historically accurate, but no saeguk has held my attention like that besides Hong Gil Dong.

I guess there aren't many people that could understand/appreciate historical dramas. Younger generations can't seem to appreciate the sacrifice that their ancestors made for them.

You have to like historical dramas to appreciate what your ancestors did for you? You sound like you have some superior understanding of korean sacrifice that no one else understands lol. You should probably stop taking stuff too seriously.
You can try Reply 1997 . Its a romance-comedy drama, its style is more realistic than the usual dramas. Rooftop Prince: Fantasy Romance Comedy Dream High - Music oriented / romance / comedy
@shintoss have you ever saw a dvd of rooftop prince at our nearest 'shop'? its crazy... the label says...
ROOFTOP PRICE perfect subtitle
LOL! They didn't even get the title right, how much more on the subs... and theres another one...
THE HEIRS the problem here is, no PARK SHIN HYE on the cover, instead it was Krystal... same as what happend to SHIN SE KYUNG... SEO HYUN of GG was placed.
edit: saw reply 1997 last year, nice drama... much like watching apink news season 4... eunji's acting was superb... so as chorong and bomi...
if tl peeps like melodrama, i would highly recommend.... WINTER SONATA and AUTUMN IN MY HEART.... aka ENDLESS LOVE 2 and 1 they were undisputedly the best #1 and #2 tear jecker kdramas of all time... both were the pioneering kdramas that swept the whole asia and the world... the reason why the word HALLYU was born...
I've been watching A LOT of k-dramas these past few months and I have to say that I really enjoy most of them. So far my favorite is unquestionably Miss Korea. That drama was all kinds of awesome. The female lead was top notch with her acting and the whole plot was interesting. Unlike most dramas it didn't have it's own little world, it looked at Korea as a country and nation with it's good and bad things.
A few other k-dramas that I liked a lot are: A Gentleman's Dignity - not much to say here, it was a solid drama with a really good cast. For me it was more of a slice of life than anything. School 2013 - it has no love drama bs! was so refreshing to see a school life drama that had friendship as it's focal point and not a love story. My love from another star - even though I liked it a lot I felt like the whole brothers and bad guy plot was kinda meh, I didn't really care for it. Innocent Man/Nice Guy - again a solid drama, a bit more dark than your usual romance. Good doctor - really good performance by the leading male actor and it was a good medical drama all around. My daughter Seo Young - I am a big big fan of Lee Bo Young so I watched it for her. I can hear your voice - Again, watched it for Lee Bo Young and because of the nuna romance. I thought it was kinda cool.
I've watched many more but these are the ones that I would recommend. Also currently airing and really interesting are Secret love affair, Cunning single lady/Sly and single again ( I adore this drama ) and ofc. the nail biting God's gift-14 days ( Lee Bo Young is just in a league of her own ) which after watching 4 episodes I decided to just wait and see it in one go because my feels would not be able to handle watching it weekly.
