Is he a good guy who used awful ways of achieving his goals (like back in the golden era), or is he a demon that seeks to sacrifice everyone is anyone's guess now.

Well, he got pretty far sacrificing the band of the hawk (or falcon i dunno wtf translations) so maybe he wants to try sacrificing EVERYONE as they all adore him so he can climb to that fucking imaginary castle or w/e he saw in the sky (i mean his vision/goal/w/e). And maybe people have to be on his dick for him to sacrifice them.
Maybe he still hasn't reached it. Just a wild speculation.

and yes he wants to be worshipped, he wants to be king

I think you hit the nail on the head there. What Griffith wants is for people to dick ride him all the way to his fucking castle. It all makes sense within the context of the story now that I think about it.

Be honest, if you were in Griffith's position (broken dreams, broken body) and you had your dreams dangling right in front of you then you would do the same exact thing.

besides even if we cant say that we would have chosen differently doesnt mean we cant damn the choice or the death hes brought afterwards

Don't forget he also believes his dream is what's in the best interest of humanity.
Since he want to unite everything under him and then only those worthy will survive, meaning, all the apostles and "monsters" will have to die atleast all of the non-allies!
BTW sorry for uping the thread but I wanted to know and you guys would be the best way to do it..
i'm sorry that the author can't maitain a steady flow

I do. I think he does it for his own ambitions of becoming "humanity's" savior and the king of kings.

I think he does it for his own ambitions of becoming "humanity's" savior and the king of kings. he doesnt care about humanity, his actions are directly putting humanity in threat of going extinct, he simply wants to be the king of a country and damn the consequences no matter how many corpses he has to pile up to do so

I agree with Shell, it's a possibility that the first Band of the Hawks was sacrified so he can actually save humanity. And that would be way more interesting than him just being a bad guy and Guts the good one.
