It is the best touch in the trailer I think. The chess move at the very end is the other great foreshadow. The Robb one is too obvious. I don't think you need to know what is going to happen already to pick up when the shot switches to a clear shot of a single person when the the monologue is saying people will die.
The cut to Cersei on the losing what they love line is interesting. I wouldn't think the purple wedding is going to make it into season 3. Maybe the two seasons ahead hint as well as just being direct with who Cat was talking about was enough to make it their shot choice regardless. Maybe the show will play up the fall of her and Jaime's relationship stronger/earlier than the books.

Moreover, I didn't know people were calling it the PURPLE WEDDING, lol.

Moreovoermovoerover, who was the tall guy that was going to kill what LOOKED LIKE Illyn Payne?

At 0:43? That would be Tormund Giantsbane, Tall-talker, Horn-blower and Breaker of Ice, Husband to Bears, the Mead-king of Ruddy Hall, Speaker to Gods and Father of Hosts.

Personally I've always interpreted Georges "bittersweet ending" that he has planned to be something along the lines of Stannis just straight up winning the Iron Throne, I mean you have to admit that would leave a bitter aftertaste for some people while still giving a somewhat satisfying conclusion.
I've always found Stannis interesting in the sense that he's doing all that he's doing despite wanting none of it (So we are lead to believe) simply because it's his duty.

I would much more prefer that Petyr Baelish ends the game of thrones by becoming super rich or some shit, that guy's a genius and I have no idea what his fucking end-game plan is, but he's been playing it right thus far. Seems like the Vayle is in pristine form, ready to back/attack whatever he wants

Jon Snow will get some Red priest fire breath to resurrect. Just like Dondarrion? ( the lightning lord that doesnt die but finally dies after resurrecting too often ) the dude cant die. he doesnt know yet that he is a shapeshifter... and we dont know who his parents are! Stannis will become the Bolton bastard's bitch. And he will suffer. Terrible terrible damage.
He doesn't die from reviving to much. He dies from breathing the fire of his "half-life" into Cat.

He's the meritocrat. If you like the west then you should like Petyr.
That said he's not connected with the mystical enough to survive.

Lol if Petyr was a real life interpretation he'd pretty much be Wall Street/The Banks of America, he purposely screwed over the economy of Westeros as a part of his plan. However I think he's a bit to mentally unstable in terms of his obsession over Cat which seems to be now translating to Sansa, I can see this being his foil and downfall if he were to ever have one. Sansa being one of my favorite characters (Fuck me right?) I would like to see her put him in his place in some form or another, I mean Sansa almost most certainly is going to have a huge role to play considering she's been built up for 4 books in a fluctuating arc that will surely come to head.

PW is obviously going to be in season 4, only an nitwit would think otherwise. If it was in 3 then it'll mean that you have most of the biggest aSoS moments in s3 leaving only attack on the Wall as the only major event in s4. That would be ridiculously poor pacing

I remember hearing/seeing Peter Dinklage say he doesn't read the books and whatnot. So he might be surprised when his name becomes YOLO and he has to do really embarrassing/undignified stuff. Wonder if he'll be cool with it.
They'll have to change some scenes unless they somehow train Peter Dinklage to become a professional pig rider.

Wtf is purple wedding? When Joffrey dies?

If he sucks at it and falls off isn't that more or less perfect 'acting' to match Tyrion's performance in those situations?
I'd think he might like the chance to make it into a bit of a soap-box moment. He won't be playing the freakshow part, he'll be playing someone who is being forced to play a freakshow part. The "dude playing a dude playing a dude" distinction. It's a good chance to say "Hey, you know how fucked up this is when Joffrey and primitive slavers make Tyrion do it? Well guess whose role you *entertainment industry/society* have IRL whenever something like this is done? Yeah, go choke on something."
I wonder if they will depict cyvasse in enough detail to effectively invent the game or if it will just be chess with some altered piece appearances and names.

I was wondering the same at some point, i would really like to learn that game. Once i was thinking about submitting this question to GRRM, but i ve seen small chance of being answered so didnt bother
Sounds like Settlers of Catan mixed with Chess

I think Littlefinger will have his moment of glory, but only to see it crash horribly on him. His obsession with Sansa is going to grow probably, up to the point where he will try to have sex with her most likely. I have some nagging feeling that Sansa will end up killing Littlefinger.
