I don't know of the translations are making this less clear or if it's intentionally unclear, but I really have no idea what's going on.
(I guess I mean in terms of the story, for the narrative I understand why he is taking a break from writing Gon into the story, but internal to the story I don't really get it.)
its a bit unclear but i think the problem is that Gon is too confused now to use it properly since hes foung Ging and they had there talk so he doesnt have a goal anymore so until he decides what he wants to do and decides he needs nen for that no more nen

That makes some sense. People just seem to talk about Gon like he's lost his Nen and can't be fighter permanently, or at least for now, but you're right it probably has something to do with having found his goal and therefore having lost the willpower needed to awaken his Nen.

not surprised... another wild hiatus... anyway, we wish him good health and recovery...
I love going back and re-watching/reading Hunter x Hunter while it's on breaks. Also, is the anime really being canceled, or just put on hiatus? I can handle it being on hiatus. Cancellation is another thing.

the anime nearly caught up to the manga, see as how it took a fucking long break and the current arc barely even started with so much set up going on.

But will it come back? I'm terrified of it just disappearing.
