I get that the opposite, having tons of games, can be taxing on players but this is just boring to watch... You only have 6 teams getting through to the main event, 2 of those only played 3 games total and got into the semifinals that way and despite having so few games, they go with single-elim on top of that for the playoffs. idk, maybe calling it "boring to watch" is an exaggeration but it's certainly not drawing people in with "epic" group- or playoff-stage | ||

Well in fairness with Newbee, they looked a lot better in the lower bracket in Changsha and changed it up. Came in here without the new coach who has failed to get a visa in time which makes sense. I would think they will do fine at TI though which they are already pretty much there. | ||

Team direct invites for fame (Navi, EG, Newbee?) and Bo1 in every form or moment dude sorry but in this case you (and alot of redditors) are making zero sense the invites were given LONG before Optic / VGJS won anything they were distributing the top part of it based on DPC points then the remaining were spread out 1 for each region (SEA / CIS / EU / NA / CN ) would you be the first to call EG below Optic before they ever won anything yet? wouldnt that be the stupidest decision? i dont think theres ever any case for injustice in inviting EG Navi Newbee JUST YET looking from each tournaments case in Supermajor it was infact as fair as it can get, they did distribute the invite a few weeks before Optic ever won their first event, vgjs is a noname, also a long time before FTM run in epicenter. thus they distributed the remaining to 1.EG 2.Navi 3.OG three of the current best team on their region doing anything but that would be THE BIASED option in this ESL one birmingham case, the invites were announced so early, so far back before any of these T2 teams started becoming T1 (optic,ftm,vgjs,before pgs.lgd) secret declined, so they went for newbee, i mean, who else? VGJT? at that point of time | ||
