Certainly not an unpopular opinion but come on... how is this a format for a major in any way? 1 bo1 and 1 bo3 and you are out. Congrats, you played vs a team on equal footing and lost a hard fought out bo1. GL playing VP in the next bo3 since they got cheesed into the elimination match (VP just as an example). This format is more like a gamble than anything else. Can't wait for valve to adjust the rules for next years DPC.
but enough of that. hope we see some exciting dota at least.

seems like the teams are at the hotel or internet café. watching some pubs with paparazi, rtz, old eleven, crit etc. and they are all disconnected in their respective pub

Why is group B boring? We get to see how Pain (the only legitimate SA team) are progressing with w33 and Vici just came third in a major, plus the reigning TI champs are fresh after resting through MDL. Also OG showed signs of improvement at MDL.
All three groups are interesting imo, there is no clear cut top 2 for any of them.

Things can be very easy, if u have 1 million to bet, and there is win survive, lose u dead, which team match u will put ur bet:
Liquid vs Pain?
Optic vs LFY?
Mineski vs LFY?
Mineski vs Newbee?
I think you got the answer, OBVIOUSLY, lol.
Match become boring when one team is few grades higher than their counterpart.

Regardless of if Fnatic wins, comes in last place, or anywhere in between, fuck this format and fuck ESL because of their shitty Facebook stream which I can never get to work on my phone

Glad to see Illidan back in the cockpit after goofing off in western Europe for so long. Team Spirit might actually be on track to be the next best thing in CIS. With Navi in a sad state, VP already going to TI, Vega Squadron kinda down and out, Empire barely being a team right now, and the relatively new FlyToMoon being the only respectable team left, I think TS get to TI at least through the qualifiers. If the can place high in both these events (they go to Super Major too), even better.

having w33 will only have them win 1 more game
SA still sucks and should redistributed the slot elsewhere or merged back with NA

Bo1 always a shitty format
|
Only the first match is Bo1. Though you can lose 3 games and be out of the Tournament. (Though ESL would counter this was the best they could do with the issues that cropped up.)

Esl always have some shitty excuse, mdl had a 2 Day group stage that was good. But esl took a format that takes the same time to execute and is far worse.

What a strange format. This secondary group stage seems like a cheap excuse to have a few more "top-tier" matches. Oh well, still hoping Liquid can finally get that major win.
