And people doubted Newbee.
27-0 now.
Now to see whether they can beat EG. Why would the self-professed Newbee fangirl be salty?
She thinks Secret "figured out" newbee in game that they 5-th pick cheesed with huskar... if that is not Salty the other reason is her absolute 0 knowledge of the game

Arteezy really seemed to play pretty badly far too often.
Congrats to Newbee on winning a game they really should have lost.
I don't agree with the "should have lost". Their high ground defense was amazing, and they had a very easy time running away from the BKBs/DP ult due to Secret's draft, which is why they kept surviving. Once they had double ravage they could very easily cut off the Secret cores from the supports. And eventually they just outscaled Secret.
While EE made mistakes on the huskar, Newbee overall did a huge amount of work in just stalling.

liquid the only top team? :/

They weren't able to end the game because of two big mistakes by EternalEnvy and Arteezy, both of which set the game back two minutes each. Four minutes is a lot in Dota, and it was what gave Newbee the time to get what they need.

you can also call games based on the idea that even the teams that are considered top can make those game-deciding decisions, losing or winning in the process. it happens, and you learn. that's what it means to attempt to make a 'call'. there are a lot of outside factors than what your understanding can account for.
it happened, and then you learn.

So did EE. Both made mistakes. That means... Newbee played better! That's why they won, and why Secret lost. Amazing And Newbee arguably made a huge mistake when they ran out of their base when Huskar popped the aegis, and Secret were able to reengage and take the mid rax off of that. Newbee could've probably held even longer had they just sat in base and waited for a mistake. Their lineup could disengage and reengage much more easily due to Secret's lack of stuns EternalEnvy made one big mistake. Arteezy made two. It took three such mistakes for Newbee to win that game. I'm not saying Secret didn't deserve to lose and Newbee didn't deserve to win. But in no way was that game decided by logic. It was decided by those three mistakes. it's not like newbee didn't make several of their own They made a few but they were not as obvious and not as ridiculous as the mistakes Arteezy and EternalEnvy made. Actually, even EternalEnvy's mistake is not that bad. But Arteezy running in by himself way ahead of his team when they had the best time to push, and getting caught out during his back because he went the wrong way, no one could've seen that coming. Decision making is a team effort but at the end of the day, you can only call games based on the idea that teams will play solid and not throw. This was not solid Dota and so no call was ever going to work.
What are you trying to argue ? that Secret couldve won the game ? sure , they could but they lost to the better team , mistakes are part of the game , why are you so childish to admit that Secret got outplayed after a great early game , there is your quote "Secret are shitting all over newbee" some pages ago , JUST GIVE THEM CREDIT , be a sport , stop making execuses like a baby
|
I stand by my assessment that the easiest way to change the outcome of the second game is to have EE survive one of those early fights due to better armlet toggling / wand usage and he would have just snowballed out of control. In the base pushes idk, have to give Newbee credit for how they jumped on the opportunities they were given. Of course Arteezy shouldn't have been so far ahead but oh well

'current year' people still get baited by Azarkon, lmfao
well played by Newbee, probably the best in the world by form right now
Secret looks much better than before but sometimes seem not in one mind, they kinda need more game together.

Wait, how come Liquid gave coL the one hero Limmp can play?

In any case, I have to sleep. It's all on PPD's team now to take Newbee down today. Hate to miss it but this game went too long.

Rtz played as dogshit 2 games in a row and you can't expect stellar things from envy whatsoever
EG is the single Western top-tier team so far. oG is second in power. Everyone else is just crumbling.
