He's actually a really good translator.

His translations seem off though even though I dont understand a word chinese. At least the questions are answered differently than what they tried to ask.

I love Sunsfan and Purge but there is no way NewBee can be an underdog in any match at this point. Before TI4 started they were considered top3 for sure by just about everyone, VG although they came out #1 in group stage just haven't ever shown the consistency to be considered a legitimate contender before the tournament started. And it's pretty obvious that NewBee have figured out whatever was causing them problems in the group stage, they are now 6-0 since the tiebreakers were played to avoid elimination and are definitely showing they are one of the strongest teams heading into the rest of the week even if they don't manage to make it straight into the Grand Finals. Pretty sure top 3 of almost everyone was iG, DK and EG. It shouldn't really shock anyone that they're doing well though.
Nb was bopping some serious heads in the Chinese tourneys though, the only major problem is probably against EG, since EG really like playing that counter-initiate style.

Historically NB only has a 35% win rate vs VG. It seems reasonable to call them the underdog when they have a losing record against the team. most of those games newbee lost were when they sucked though

You have to keep in mind different patches and unstable lineup of NB.

I don't really like how they only have 1 player. I wish they would sub out Bruno for fuckingmad. Bruno just isn't as novel as he was at TI2 anymore.

His voice may not be the most exciting thing in the world, but it's a huge improvement from generic translators that don't know what they are talking about. Much better than a generic chinese cute girl.

I can speak both languages fluently but translating on the fly is pretty hard i think he gets the general gist of the message across, but small nuances are always lost in translation

Isn't this translator the guy behind dotaland.net? Or at least, he was till he joined ongamers?
