It's a mini TI3. Also with the new patch so this is how these teams will test the environment and the competition. What they should iron out and work on before August. I really do hope that Na'Vi gets to the play offs at the least. I would say that both these groups are groups of death.

Holy fuck that was unexpected. How many teams advance from the group?
Group B is the definition of the group of death, while in group A DK and LGD.cn supposedly will just roll over their opponents.

Great to see that people are looking forward to it. The website isn't up yet, but will be soon. More announcements will be made over time =D
@ Existential. It would have been nice to have them in different groups, but a whole bunch of balancing factors were taken into consideration. Primarily, three of the teams in Group B could only play in Group B. The tournament was only approved on May 22 and the schedule and format changed many times since then to avoid clashes and to ensure Na`Vi could join in.
@ EnumaAvalon, ForTehDarkseid and Thezzphai. All teams advance from the group stage. I will announce the format and prize distribution later today. =)
@ nDlSoulFly. I haven't been told how much Valve would price it at.
@ Kipsate. I haven't been told when exactly it will be in the store. Will check with them. Should be before the tournament starts.
@ ReignSupreme. Yes, there will be a Season 2 and I will make it bigger and better next season or at least I hope I can. =D

So the groups are for seedings. Can't wait! The broadcast time of Chinese tournaments are always optimal for me since I live in the Philippines. Wahahaha! Crappy internet is forcing me to watch it at 240p tho, 360p at best.
