In general Baron means less than in League (the Aegis is just flat out weaker compared to Baron buff in most cases). iG still has strong fighting capabilities in a tight space (where e.g. Spectre ult does much less, Weaver can't chase around etc.) and DK really wants to finish the Radiance on Spectre at this time. No big reason to contest really, especially not without RP. | ||

Right, and baron does a lot more damage and is typically harder to bring down and also gives debuffs to the team doing it making it much riskier. Also, dire side advantage for iG. If you have summons in dota roshan is pretty easy and costs you no risk to attempt. | ||
