It got IG the win, but honestly, that Rapier is probably the sole reason why DK refused to end--because having a Rapier completely nullifies 10k+ of gold disadvantage (it gives you 5 Sacred Relics of damage for ~6k gold) as well as 2 lanes rax down because winning a fight with Rapier basically lets you instantly throne. They refused to end way earlier tho, what was the score, something like 17-5 with all 6 tower down, AC on bear versus nothing but mek on OD and linken on weaver, they had like 25mn before the rapier to take a lane. Both Ferrari and Zhou had the worst early game possible with multiple deaths each. Exactly, it's not like they were being aggressive and changed that style upon seeing the rapier. Their play style hardly changed when DR was seen. No, before then it was that they couldn't push. Again, because of the lane pressure. After the rapier, they had the lane pressure under control, but refused to push the 3rd lane.
It appears to me that DK just missed their opportunity and couldn't do shit anymore without IG making a mistake or piling up cheeses on every hero. Weaver has really good synergy with rapier just like gyrocopter and DK's lineups didn't possess a single hero which is suited for SUPERSUPERSUPER late game like rapier carrying heroes. 12 slotted Lone Druid sounds terrifying but we all witnessed how easy a six slotted bear is dispatched. DK was dead in the water beyond 60-70 minutes and just hoped on IG doing a mistake, which they didn't. They played it patient and won.

The fault of Ayesee's commentary is that instead of taking the opportunity to enlighten a crowd ignorant about Eastern Dota like Synderen usually does as a student of the game, he had the effect of egging the crowd on as if there were something wrong with the way the game was being played. Problem is there are only a handful of people as knowledgeable as Yango and none of them cast. Maybe if Synderen was casting he could have explained why the teams were playing like they were but with the casting lineup we have there was just no real hope of that.
I would explain in LR, but i'd be repeating what Yango said except his words are more clear

omg why DK just decide to donate a rosh?

sry, league player. Unless a team was super behind, they would never give up a "baron" (Similar to roshan), for free like that. Why would DK not try to contest that, especially given their teamfight potential that I've seen up til now?

Not everyone on the internet appreciate these players' craft, thousand of hours spent, all the hindsight and thought process... Nope, let's just complain and fill our blood lust. To be fair, last year's IG vs LGD people were complaining as boring and I enjoyed it, also Alliance vs LGD people said it was boring and I enjoyed it, but last game was more or less objectively boring, without the chants of the crowd I would have tuned out to sleep I think.

That would be terrible role-playing, they're not even from the same mythology!
