I would liked to see how Alliance would fair up against Orange, but congrats Alliance!

Too hyped time to work out my pecs then go to sleep. Playing some puck tomorrow.

Ok, fine. The ending ceremony (0.001% of the whole tournament) could have been done a little bit better.

I always thought Valve knows about the fountain hooks, and they intentionally kept it there because they liked the idea.

I'm not saying it's as simple as "pick wisp, win". But it makes for very snowbally games. Even that last game, Alliance had an utterly terrible start and that's the main reason it became much closer.
It amplifies your mistakes so greatly, it just seems like a bad idea even over something like a dark seer or even the naga in a high pressure situation.
Na'Vi banned naga all 5 games. But I feel that naga was only as effective against Na'Vi in the UB final because Na'Vi was running oddball wisp strats (as opposed to standard and tested wisp strats). I'd have prefered if Na'Vi banned chen/wisp and Alliance banned naix/wisp. NaVi probably has the best teamfight coordination on the world, the naga alone counters that. i think alliance's is better, the way they use buybacks to win in the right spot is very good

Basically there are cases of fountain hooks (every angle that's not directly from the fountain) where the hook projectile (Pudge original position) is the one that you'd need to dodge but it's invisible while the hook visual that you see comes straight from the fountain. That's confirmed as a bug on the dev forum as well. The last pages of the day 3 thread have some insight on that by Yango.

Great series.
Grats to Alliance for winning TI3 in such a convincing fashion.
Props for Navi for delivering such a great fight. Many of us believed Alliance would walk away with an easy 3-1 or 3-0 but Navi did manage to push them to their limit right there.
No more TI from now on, I'm back to my boring life ....

I think it was mentioned on the Chinese streams. Kinda sad they take options out of the game but with all the backlash because of it I can kinda see why they would I think it's even worse because they hook visuals were bugged and Tongfu couldn't properly see the hook for technical reasons. That's what i caught wind of of at least.

Don't worry, Mr. Chae is at Seattle, he'll surely teach Valve his ways.

However you can block pudge hook with astral titan, good to know :p It's classed as a visual bug and not a gameplay bug right now because fountain hooks are intended, but the visual of the hook not matching the actual hook trajectory is NOT intended.
The last thread discussing the issue got moved to the visual bugs subforum, which is why you don't find it on the gameplay known bugs list.

It paid however. So many turning points in this game, a less than 100 HP rosh!

To all the new fans, try PLAYING dota in the meantime! It is an incredibly fun game and if you can find a friend or two to play it with I assure you you will be 100% hooked. Not only that but playing the game will help you appreciate the game at a whole new level.

That final game was seriously the single greatest thing I have ever seen in my(esports) life. Better than Squirtle Mvp, better than DRG MMA and all that.
