Dailymotion sucks in North America. Twitch sucks in Europe. The reason for this has to do with peering relationships and a lot of politics that comes down to greed at the highest/biggest ISPs/Backbone. This is nothing new Netflix had the same issue. So did Youtube till Google bought them and told the ISPs to play ball or they would just bypass them. The reason Google is running all the fiber is so they can't be held hostage.

Smaller ISPs and Cable companies pay for upstream traffic. Most of these smaller companies will gladly peer with Content Providers such as Netflix/ Twitch/ and Akamai. The larger ISPs don't want to allow content providers access to their networks without the content providers paying for that access. So they play this game of dumping traffic off to slower links etc.

I know its frustrating for streams to lag. It did for me today on the Dailymotion stream. But trust me these companies are trying to fix it. It is not as simple as just buying more servers.

I think they really were playing seriously and the skype chat thing was more because of being forced to play the game right after the new patch. Dendi did say that he didn't even read the change log before it all started.

Not sure if this is the only issue, but playing against NA teams is certainly a part of the problem. Or rather, playing at NA servers.
Apparently, Na'Vi just can't play their game when the match is hosted at USA servers. They did mention this clearly in both interviews after their games.

Reading something and fully understanding are two different things. You might know you read a change but when you playing your instincts are tuned for something else. In fact reading the changes hardly matters aside from seeing what could be strong which is mainly Puppeys role.
