Still depends on the hero and the game. I think midas is now desirable again, but I don't get the feeling so far that it's good enough to justify delaying your safe-your-core(/yourself)-item.

I think it's good now in the situations it always was good in. If your enemies lineup scales better and will camp highground, sure, Midas may give you the teamfight-winning scythe or lvl 25 or whatever. If you have one of these op aghs or refresher heroes like treant, aa, ww, (nyx), phoenix, disruptor, rubick, and the game isn't likely going to hell in the next 10 minutes, sure.

In most situation I'd rather spent my first 20 minutes of gold on a forcestaff though than on an item that needs another 18 minutes to pay for itself. Creeps just give a fairly marginal amount of exp lategame compared to kills/assists and saving my cores from dying feels like it pays the gold off faster.

Think of it as drums with dominate now and more as. It's good on the same heroes drums was build on for the same reason. If you need early fighting stats the item is nice. If you are AM you likely don't care.

How many games does it usually take for the hidden behaviour score to normalise?
(inb4 it doesn't exist, you could even check in the console a couple months ago)

I've stopped being toxic and I'm trying to be positive or not talk at all, but my last 20 or so games have been nightmare fuel, I'm not sure if I can keep it up if I keep getting games like these.

Euls purges Flameguard afaik. Does it purge anything else (is it a soft-dispell and liquipedia just doesn't tell?) or is that just a bugged interaction that IF decided to keep in the game?

I think if you are in nightmare land, some guys will just report you either way cause they need someone to blame. But over time I'm sure you'll get out of it.

Just try to self-reflect when you get aggressive and take a break. Get some chilly to play pve game, a MMO or something where things don't fight back and switch to it whenever you feel like shit. If you can actually apply some skill than all the better (I recommend BnS f.e.).

Or do some sport, exhaust yourself, get a punching bag or something. Punching bags really help.

Euls purges a lot of things. I don't know what it's classified as with the new fancy terminology but you can use it to purge runes etc.

I realise I was getting bad games because I was being a toxic prick. But I've made a genuine effort to be as positive as possible for the last 30 or so games, but my games are still nightmare fuel. I guess it stops when you want it to stop.

1°) Best advice by far is to actually take a break (do it), go see your family, do some sport, chill with friends, whatever - and come back with a fresh mind. The first couple of games are a bliss, it's like the first cigarette of the day. It simply is good.

2°) I try not to play more than 5-6 games in a row. I know that the longer I play, the less tolerant I get, the more irritated over small mistakes, the more expecting to have total clueless noobs on my team I get, etc. While myself getting less and less... efficient? I don't know, I begin to suck so I need people to be better to compensate, doesn't happen, I flame/give up, it's ridiculous. Losing streaks, my morale drops, the circle aggravates.

So now if I get 2 consecutive losses, I take a break.

3°) I instantly mute anyone saying "fucking support" or "retard" or "gg" or "russian" during the first minutes or the draft. Not interested in what small minds think, I know they'll get me annoyed anyway. They're probably tilted as fuck too, so I don't say anything, I just mute.

4°) And yeah, I try to use "Well Played!" as much as I can when my team score kills. I ward for myself and for the team (no matter my position) - I don't always do that because you know, fuck you, but I often do. I buy dust. I buff allies, give them urn charges. Small things, to maintain hope, make people feel good, and in return feel good yourself.

5°) And sometimes I just mute all and feed 6 bottles and a gem mid, I mean... I'm human, too.

@ihatevideogames: I can't really give you an answer to how long it takes, but I can tell you that there exists a dota world where flamers are fairly rare, cause they are pretty rare in my world. With pretty rare I mean 1 in of 4 losses. Most people in my games are friendly and funny. I queue a lot with friends though, so Idk how much their scoring actually does.

Whether it's faster to get from flamers hell to normal ppl or from 0 to the mmr you are at is something I can't answer. Things like how many friendly people you have in the friendslist that you'd need to transfer also play a role.
