I'm at a point where we get placed in games more than 1k mmr under my solo mmr (I'm hovering between 3k and 3k5, we play in 2k average games), and I still can't manage to win (like 30% winrate when playing with them), no matter what at least one of them ends up 0-10 or some shit. And no I wont stop playing with them, they're irl friends and playing is still fun despite the losses. Having 50% winrate would be fine by me.

Then you just need a 1v5 hero that can turn that gold into a win.

Pick someone who can snowball, try to find out who on the enemy team is the one to pull their mmr on your level and feast on everyone else. Play really aggressive until you get a big streak. Works great on 2k, because nobody ever tp's defensively, so playing aggressive is pretty easy. Also ingame calls, depending on how much for fun they are playing. If they just don't give a shit they prolly won't listen and might get stressed, if they want to win and just are bad, ingame calls will work wonders.

Having 50% winrate would be fine by me. how about sitting down and spending i dont know, 10-30m to address some of the problems they have playing. you'll both learn. teach a man to fish. it sounds dumb but it's a lot more productive than watching your friends struggle. it's fun just messing around, but it's also irritating to hear unintelligible whining. you're worried about winning and having fun, but do your friends have fun doing so poorly in every game? i guarantee not. the more knowledge they have about the game, the more invested and fun it'll be to hang out and watch games together. and it's all rather than it being like a temporary gaming fling.

The biggest problem they have to overcome tho is getting their spells off, which i dont think u can help they just have to go about it their own way. Just drop information that can let them help you.

It's just a different skillset than what you're used to (1v9'ing). You can address it from a pick standpoint (having them play easy brainless heroes with decent impact, like tide+lich), or having them sacrifice their own growth (since they'll feed anyway) to put you in a strong position. I,e blowing all 3 smokes mid during laning phase, getting a bunch of stacks for you if applicable. Then just pick heroes you're good with that can play 1v9 effectively - slark, storm, tb, am, ember, etc. Them feeding is likely not the real issue; it's them feeding without compensation to you. If you engineer it right them feeding will just give you more comeback gold since you'll be in a commanding position and the enemy are also clowns.

at any point in time like it or not, he's living with them in this game. people who are actually unable to learn or improve are few and far between. gaming might attract people who have poor self-improvement skills, but that doesn't concern you in the long run. why not? because for a few minutes each game, you can teach them. it doesn't take much, the impact is large, and you can give them homework to take home. if they are not interested in learning or getting better, or listening even, and you are concerned about winning or having a good game, then stop playing with them. make it clear the reason and think about yourself and what you've been saying to them objectively. i have the experience of recommending easy heroes to friends while we're playing together. there are a lot of experiences in life that are similar to this. it's not a good feeling to do it, nor is it good to be on the receiving end. the self-paved solution is realizing that you just suck and that it's all conducive to changing that. i get that there are people who are bad at talking or playing and talking at the same time. but if you care for your friends and their enjoyment of the game, do them a favor and talk it out nicely. at least you can say you tried.

Yeah I should probably pick more 1v5 friendly heroes, I'm not used to playing those though (I play mostly offlane/support usually when solo). Any tips on what to learn? I'm to learn invoker atm, but i'm not 100% confident with him right now like i'm confident with say clockwerk or something like that.
