Oh haha just saw draft for game5
Icefrog needs to nerf liquid fast or the team won't live up the the Liquid Brand of heart attack inducing dark horse for a long time.
They pull KOTL out of the bag finally Mineski who obviously studied it over compensate with nyx core and disruptor Liquid Fake out, throw it on sacrificial 5 on Kuro
And game is all but over right there pretty much

Remember that wings won their first tournaments after TI too. Curse is strong, don't doubt the curse XD

One question bothers me, maybe I didn't read enough about it, but is the TI winner (aka Liquid) gonna get a direct invite for TI8 this season or not?

ESL Hamburg 2017 - Next. 5 in a row actually. Liquipedia is somehow missing dreamleague Season 7, which was right before TI. Also Season 6 was still in 2016, we lost some stuff like kiew or DAC after that. But still very impressive of course;)

It hasn't been so nice to be a Liquid fan since the summer of Taeja. GG WP to players and management both!

The Liquid Nerf Patch is coming, brace yourselves.
They will change not only heroes, but main gameplay components. Neutral XP ammount, range, distribution, positioning, maybe even the map itself. My guess is that there will be new mechanic like the shrines etc.
A huge patch that messes up dota playstyle as it is, is the only way to stop the boys.

We are not limited in our strategies like TI3 Alliance. The other teams have to learn new stuff too then, also most teams dont have brilliant people like kuro and heen. Im not really worried about the patch;)

Next title in a few days guys! Maybe they should just give it to us, since its still the same patch;)

Yeah, it seems much more fair to let all those other peasants fight for second without worrying about Liquid.

I hope you are right.
Before the last big patch, which iirc changed mid lane and creep gold - Matu and Miracle had quite some issues finding and distributing farm. So the only thing I'm slightly concerned about is that valve might want to limit farm a bit more again. However, it does really feel like Matu has become so much better at playing a bit of a sacrificial carry and more of tempo control than farm oriented role.
Overall I feel like it might need a bunch of adjusting - but they should be able to get there fairly quickly I guess.

Before the last big patch, which iirc changed mid lane and creep gold - Matu and Miracle had quite some issues finding and distributing farm. in fact the biggest change was that jungle creeps returned to spawn every minute instead of each 2 minutes. So suddendly even if jungle wasn't very efficient, there was still farm for both.

Back then they were trying to distribute farm for both of them. And thats not really a viable strat. Now they are much more flexible. Miracle carries if he gets farm, Matu carries if he gets farm. If both fail - MC wins the game. And if he for some reason doesn't have a good day GH plays an insane 4 position and we are still fine. All that powered by Kuro Draft and in game Calling and positioning.
And of course if all of the above fails (5% chance - liquid lose). So people have a chance in Bo1.
P.S. Keep in mind that i only reviewed situations when only 1 or 2 have a good game. If more of them do its a complete dismantle, textbook dota and opponents look like they've just learned the game. Not to mention the absoluteley insane positioning of the team and my favourite Choose your poison strat - You either lose Rosh or T3 bottom ( and rax probably )

Sexy car, makes you want to have one;)

5mn into the game with Spectre, I thought LQ is doing stuff with new strat. but at around 14mn ... they actually do experiment with this line up and testing how the enemies counter+react to it.
