This was the worst Performance from Liquid that i ever saw apart from the Bostom Major Qualifiers. GH Is way better on it Miracle historically is bad on initiators though (Nyx, Magnus, now slardar was meh) - they just don't suit his tempo Wonder what they'll gonna do - this tournament was clearly to test it out to get ready for the Major

GH naga was great btw. It's all fine, Kiev is the big deal this month.

I don't think they failed nearly as hard as people are implying but sometimes lower bracket BO1s are a thing and that's that.

They didn't bootcamp. Liquid already went through a pretty lengthy bootcamp for the Starladder and DAC qualifiers so I assumed they skipped one this time in order to avoid fatigue within the team. Every bootcamp has been essential in the team's ability to play at the top level. Hopefully, they bootcamp for the Kiev Major and perform well there though.

If it is that important, then that makes this less surprising, because most of the other teams did bootcamp as far as i know. Yeah, Liquid does really well after bootcamps. The Boston Majors qualifier bootcamp was a huge turn around for the Bulba lineup and the GH lineup really started to shine during the bootcamp for the Starladder and DAC qualifiers. I hope a Kiev bootcamp can really bring the team back together and help them come up with more strategies, they still did okay at DAC in my mind but clearly not at the top of their game consistently.

Because we are the much better team, i expect feceless to try a cheese strat. And im pretty sure kuro is prepared for that. In a normal game, when both teams have their comfort picks i dont see a chance of us losing. Against wings or eg i would be much more worried;) Eheh, no worries

You could pull this off if you did it before the game, after the fact callouts are cheap shots. It feels to me like the Naga was Liquids most reliable strategy going into the tournament and that's why they played it vs Faceless. While Naga is good I don't think it has the same level of inevitability it had before the illusion nerfs. I hope Liquid plays more pro-active dota in the future, the 4 protect one strats don't seem suited towards a team with such potential for playmaking. Matumbaman has been lacking an identity as a carry where none of his heroes besides perhaps the Lone Druid are ban material. Makes it really easy for teams to ban the GH Gandalf/ Io and the Miracle Invoker. MC also doesn't warrant any bans because his impact varies a lot depending on whether he can splitpush/ initiate with short CD's as opposed to when he has to play a supportive role to his cores.
