A team that is so good at 2 heroes that other teams have to respect ban them 1/2 should be able to win TI/any other big tornament based on the huge drafting advantage tbh (Alliance and EG previously did ). So I think Kuro is costing them pretty hard with his drafts. I feel like he's a very smart person, but maybe he is overrhinking stuff? Or his ego is getting in the way, either way it's tough to see them lose with those wacky drafts, like picking necro into dazzle etc. Sure sometimes it works and he looks like a genius, but I feel that a standard safe drafting style would yield better results given their talent and hero pool.

It really felt like they are not putting too much effort in this tournament - especially draft wise - maybe they want to try new things on the highest possible level preparing for the major. Also not being in the spotlight helps a lot. Historically people are always preparing for the top team - and then the favorite team loses. Being very unpredictable in the draft helps a lot.
Still i think that if an accident doesn't happen against Faceless in the Bo1s we will make it in to the top 4 for sure. From there - it will be very hard, but lets look it on the bright side - our boys will play a lot of games for us to watch!

Am I the only one worried that TL didnt expect to face FL at all in this tournament actually and thus didnt prepare for them? this is the only thing I am worried about. Good thing there is the big-ish break between groups and Main event but still.. while i am kinda confident we will do it there is still a subtle bad feeling...

Against faceless my worries go against zero. They never even once beat us, if i remember corectly. Because we are the much better team, i expect feceless to try a cheese strat. And im pretty sure kuro is prepared for that. In a normal game, when both teams have their comfort picks i dont see a chance of us losing. Against wings or eg i would be much more worried;)

Lmao if this is what you're worried about FL are much like OG, in the sense that they rely heavily on their offlane to make space for the other two cores. Their biggest difference is that their only actual good player is the offlaner, so if you make life bad for iceiceice, more often than not, the other 2 cores won't be able to do shit.
While in OG Jerax is a god and gank s4's lane all the time.

And even if i'm wayy off with my read, FL just isn't that scary. Sure they can win a bo1, but it's not worth preparing for them before going to any lan imo.

They can deffo own us with all in strat + a mistake + lucky rune + a small misplay. Those things happen. Bo1 is scary. Period. The only way its not is if i am playing against them as im way too bad to do shit

Why was Miracle forced to play as a Support? Why is Kuroky forcing him to do this? This was the worst Performance from Liquid that i ever saw apart from the Bostom Major Qualifiers.

Apparently GH is their mid Naga player, so someone has to play the 4 position. I doubt the trade-off has been worth it though since both Matu and Miracle have a Naga.
