Looks like they gave up, miracle on support sk. I hope they beat np latter, so we can at least see some wins....

Still a slim chance for winners bracket, but we need to get a 4-0, and a lot of help from the other teams.

Its not a good day for MC. A lot of missplays.
In the end im pretty sure they will not get the winners spot.

I think they need to find a solid drafting. The last tourney they won was clearly defined.
You had core LD, KOTL/IO/SLARDAR in each draft and now people are experimenting. Thats the weakness of liquid at this stage - I dont feel like they got outplayed in their games, it s more a problem of solid drafting ideas.

On day 1 the games against IG - I felt like they were really unprepared. Not banning lina makes no sense to me. Its their number 1 comfort hero they have great success with, as core and as a support. Just ban it and they re done.

Well this is the third time when they show split push and space creation that even TI3 Alliance can learn from. It looked so scary for 30 mins. That i got scared for hunter_x :D
But honestly im impressed by GH naga. Miracle's SK was also very good. Apart from some bad luck and 1-2 awesome jukes by Arteezy they pretty much forced 2-3 heroes to chase him with no success.

So what needs to happen for us to get to winners bracket? Like we need to 4-0 the rest of our games, that much is clear. Im too lazy to look it up right now;)
Gh is such a beast btw, i think he is on a level with jerax right now.

Most important player in Liquid is MindControl. If he has good game/clutch play we win. If not we lose.

I kind of disagree. Everyone on the team is important. Mc had some pretty bad Rps in game 2, but the rest of the team was there. It was mostly gh and miracle that game though.

Well that was pretty disappointing.
The amount of times Matu and MIracle were picked off for no reason...
Even after that happening tons this game, the last one, when Liquid lost their mid rax was just so bad.
I mean, NP get rosh and the lane is pushed in already, but miracle is still hanging around.
unnecessary loss imo

How can u go from being so strong in one game to complete shit in the next one? I thought only np could do that lol. The frustrating thing is they could do so much better. Liquid is not like certain teams were u think "ok thats just how good/bad the team is, not much they can do". These players are amongst the best on their position, and we know they can play dominant, with amazing synergy and very few mistakes. They should have won like half of the games they lost...i really hope they can do something in the loosers bracket, but for now i have zero expectations.

Things are a little bit more complex than that. Im actually happy that teams are so even and we can watch so much good dota. Any misplay, any bad luck, any risky draft can lead to a disaster.

As much as i am disappointed that we will be joining the Losers bracket and the Bo1 gamble, i am happy that dota2 playlevel is getting higher and higher.

Doesnt change the fact that they underperformed, made way too many mistakes in half of their games. I talk about mistakes they normally wont make, not mistakes forced by the enemy team. Well im just disappointed for now and need to get this out. I still love the team, and will cheer hard for them in 3 days

draft issues.

RP - Roar - Global Silence, played correct you have similiar timings.
Roared target will always die with RP as the only counterplay strategy, cause of the global silence behind.

At least gh should have gotten a fast bkb, maybe miracle too. They had the early game lead to buy that at around 15-20 min. Linkens is great against lina, but you still cant do shit during silencer ult in teamfights. Whatever cant change that now, at least they have some days to prepare for their games.

Lmao it's the group stage of a 500k tournament pre-major in china just after 2 patches (7.03 ~7.04)

Give them a break, they're good, we don't know their plan and they obviously are trying new strats, to list some: nature, gh naga, gh magnus, drow, lich, phoenix, medusa.

Please just chill.

Agree with Pontual, some of you guys are taking this a bit too hard. Obviously we all wouldn't mind Liquid going 8-0 but it's nowhere near end of the world. There were some great displays and it's still only the group stages.

I mean, as much as a lot of us like Liquid, this outcome isn't exactly unexpected of Liquid in this highly competitive group. This is a team that just started attending major LAN events, they just earned their first invite, and their only wins are at events when nobody else is really playing well. I'm not even being negative but I think we need more realistic expectations of this team currently.

They took a game off Newbee, EG, and a really strong NP. I don't think their performances or their drafts were anywhere near as disastrous as people claim. Just look at the Naga game with GH, it looked horrible for Liquid from the start, but their solid game plan and execution won them the game. Their drafting simply needs a few adjustments and individual plays need to improve and be more consistent but I don't think they look that much worse than other Group B teams. It's just a really hard group and most of the teams except maybe IG have been absolutely humiliated by their opponents too.
