Say what? Akke is an amazing support player and I don't know how you can think otherwise...

Hes pretty old too, but he is not like fear, who can play pretty much anything.

Based on a lot of science studies, the "old too"-argument is pretty much non-existent. Reaction time got its peak with 39, afterwards it falls down pretty quick. So progaming should not be affected by the age - unless you re 39.

In my experience as a 36 year old, that's not true at all. Reaction times starts falling way before that, they start falling in the late 20s

Edit: I am not even 36 and I always open IE instead of FF, I miss just by a millimeter or so. Always.

There re a lot of studies for fencing etc. that clearly proof you wrong.
In germany in the museum of munich there is an area (it was 5 years ago) where you can try this via reaction test (normal use-case is for driver licence) You can also see statistics of the probands there - 30-35 clearly beat the young generation 15-20, 20-25. Google it via google scholar, you will find a lot of paper.

Perhaps I'm atypical from a statistical point of view, perhaps not, but how exactly can a paper prove my experience wrong?

Don't be silly. I suck too and that doesn't mean those papers are wrong. I used to be better, I had more time to practice and to play, more hours of playing usually account to better performance, accuracy, etc., but now with better or more important things to do I can't do as well as I did. Are you playing the same amount and with the same objective as before?

But if you look outside of Dota, you can see people like Alex Valle and Daigo Umehara who are still top players in Street Fighter V despite being 38 and 35 respectively. As the old saying goes, where there's a will there's a way!

The new roster is bad. I fucking told Nazgul I was available but he didn't offer me a spot. I'm sure you guys shouldn't bother getting your hopes up at this point.
