Secret as a brand is gone - they can try to go for some small sponsors but the big fishes got better alternatives. The history of sports has shown that it barely matters. There are tons of teams with shady owners/practices.

Puppey seems to come off as a lazy alcoholic with an anger managment problem. It's not a good look to say the least

The new memes are dope though.

Although the bad thing for him that during the last few patches Dota has changed completely and not putting in the hours suddenly shows way more, gives rise to hard working youngsters etc. with so many heroes working, so many strategies being viable and countering others... And you having to put in loads of practice in all of a sudden And having the Captain lead the way by not practising is really bad for others to try
Actually, his captaining in Na'Vi is good, but not great because Artstyle shadow was too big in the team. It took him 2 years to make a mark, and then drama happened. Na'Vi completely split apart and going downhill before Artstyle showed up again.

They just won FACEIT Invitational! Congrats!!

Why bother even replying with a statement full of fluff. Fact that there isn't any convincing arguments from secret despite a week to craft a reply strengthens the accusations against them.
They're once again avoiding the accusations instead of confronting it. But I seriously doubt they are able to deny them though

But I seriously doubt they are able to deny them though "Those that know me well know that I'm not that person described" <-- this triggers me so much. It means nothing at all. Like why would you made such a statement public? Those who know him don't even need to read such a thing, and for those who don't know him.. does it actually serve as proof for anything? Of course not. I hope he corrects the wrongs he did.

I like their games. At the end, all their old players have been paid. I've decided to go on with my Team Secret Flag!
And I'm so happy that they have won FACEIT invitational!

Yes? Do you have new updates I missed? From what I remember a lot of players still wait for their money... and I am not sure, how a 10% cut off works in a business, where no contracts are made. This means, none of the players ever agreed on it and they have no written proof 10% cut off was part of their staying with secret.
You need to stop thinking about it as a game. It is a game, but it s also their career, a business. If someone delays your payments at work and then delivers payments reducing 10% cut off, and also stacking payments (2 salaries 1 month instead of splitting it up) which is awful for taxes, in the end is just a shit company. They released NO statement about this, they have no transparency.
I liked some instances of the secret team, but for the brand I cant cheer at all. It s simply a fail - it s like cheering for trump. It doesnt matter what cool guys are playing on their team, the company continues if people still cheer for them, buy their merch etc.
There is nothing to be proud of about "Team Secret". They have 4 cool players and puppey - the company should still fall apart.

forev is the best player in europe atm. 8700 mmr and playin' out of his mind in officials
|
'At the end of the day, all the players have been paid...'
This doesn't erase the fault that they delayed payments unnecessarily. However it is a good opportunity to admit their mistakes, start afresh, and the restore confidence in their brand. But of course secret decided against that. They will have to settle with their brand being "shady but there's 4 cool guys".

They're once again avoiding the accusations instead of confronting it. But I seriously doubt they are able to deny them though Heh that's what most organisation would do in this situation. Outright admitting they fucked up wouldn't do them any good, and will also open the flood gates towards litigation. At the same time, like you said, they can't deny them either. So yea, fluffy statement is the way to go.

Think that's in the past, old school approach that isn't really as relevant now in the internet era. If you were wrong, settle, admit it, move on, rebuild. Rather than have this issue stuck with you forever.
