He didn't really do anything 'wrong' when he got booted though, the way they dumped him was kinda bullshit. I'd actually love to see more of the guy.

Well, according to Mason himself at least he was more or less kept in the dark about the whole thing, wasn't he? Like, I got the impression they never made it clear he was going to be a temp thing or for how long, or something? I don't remember the details that well so might be wrong, but eh. Besides it's not like he'd be the first or the last one in esports to be childishly angry about stuff like that :p

Besides it's not like he'd be the first or the last one in esports to be childishly angry about stuff like that :p I guess everyone knew that he was a temporary replacement for an iconic player except him? EG did keep their options open but the bar was pretty high to replace Fear (assuming fear got better, which he did). Fact is, there is a reason people discuss what is and isn't professional behavior. The correct thing to do in this situation was to say, publicly, "well I enjoyed my time, we won some tournaments and I made some great money playing the game I love. I wish I could have stayed on the team but it was not to be." That's pretty much the opposite of what he said. And you know what? He does have a right to say whatever about the situation he feels is honest. He does not have a right to expect that other organizations will look upon the way he left and think "there is a person I want in my organization." Instead of what might have been rumors of his attitude within the team (and the well-known public persona) he made it plainly clear he was a caustic individual. We talk a lot about chemistry for a reason. It matters. You have a five-player roster with no bench. Toxic attitudes, as put on display by Mason when he left, are bad for teams. [e] Oh and just to state the obvious: keeping Mason would have been de-facto kicking Fear. Kicking him because he had to sit out for a while to deal with a chronic injury no doubt primarily caused by playing Dota. Mason thinks he's salty because he played with the team for half a year and only made a quarter million before they made room for Fear to come back to his old position? A grown-ass man would be thinking, what if the opposite happened.

Hope he finds a new team soon and can return to impressing all of us soon with his 'so smart' play.

But on the other hand, beside fly he was the only player they could have changed... Can't wait to see what they got to offer during DAC
