the current roster is pretty good I think, solid EE-sama plays and w33haa, even though misery still does mistakes sometimes, PLD and Puppey are unexpectedly great duo, wonder if current support combo is stronger than old (kky-ppy) support.

We lost but i think it was a good experience for them. w33 showed good stuff and potential. Misery i think is still too early, imo he can grow in the role. I liked the diverse (and sometimes ? draft), more entertaining that the good old QoP and SF.

Next is MLG, lets see how they do in that type of format

I think Misery will improve. Some of the things like early laning screw ups are imo somewhat understandable. Sometimes you just have to screw up to understand how to play certain matchups or what you can exactly do against certain heroes. He had plenty of good games this event too imo, though in a lot of those he was also given good lanes which made it easier for him.

Draft wise they tried a lot of different things even opening wise. Generally "surprise picks" come a bit later into the draft, and it was pretty fun to see them completely change the way the drafts went. In some games it really payed off (like against CDEC's Gyro the ET did a lot of work, the 2nd pick Meepo worked very well too) and in some games it wasn't so successful. But in that last game their opening wasn't anything that strange, CM Naga is something they ran already at WCA quals. But it felt like they didn't really have a clear idea of how to proceed with the draft until the end against what Vega was picking and what they got didn't really work.

I think their next game actually should in a few days against Empire in the Summit quals. Also there's potentially the major qualifiers, I'm not sure what Valve's invite policy is there. It's possible Secret is getting invited after winning the WCA quals and beating Fnatic and CDEC here but we'll see I guess.

New Secret did pretty well imo. Lot's of room to improve too. Have a feeling the eu/cis scene will be more even this year though and Secret, Vega, VP, MB, 5jungz will all vye for the top spot and I think take a first place each somewhere.

This tournament was encouraging. They played well, and they have room to grow. I'm really liking this version of Secret. They're really fun to watch.

W33 seems a bit easy to ban out. The games where he didn't get Windrunner or Meeepo weren't that impressive :/
Misery's laning phase is a bit shaky but it'll come with experience.

Concerning the fact that many people thought the new Secret would be utter shit, this was a very good tournament. Obviously I would've loved to see them win, but as a former C9 fan, I'm so used to getting disappointed that this second place actually feels like a won International.

Misery already improved compared to his performances in the games before ESL NY, his Broodmother was pretty awesome and he played a great Tusk in game 2 against Vega (didn't see game 3 yet). About w33haa - man, I really have to give him credit for playing extremely good so far. His Meepo is just fantastic to watch and while it feels like he loses his mid lane more often than not in terms of CS, his plays in the mid-late game are fantastic.

Feels like this team can go very far.

Puppey is my most respected captain. That's because unlike many old school players, he has learnt to evolve and adapt to modern dota.

ive got the same feeling, I like how they can make their own style of drafting work, I was disappointed that they lost but props to Vega tbh, pasha's ember is scary
