Regional qualifiers Loda and Bulldog not playing with Swedes? What is going on? D: It isn't a serious try for a championship team. So if they are of the opinion that language matters due to speed and clarity of communication then that doesn't matter here. I would also say it has been somewhat disproved by OG which has dominated for a long time with mixed nationalities. No, my response was more along the way of sarcasm. I'm really just more surprised that Alliance spent this long going with the Swede only line apart from their brief stint with 7mad. But if the pool of Swedish players is that mediocre, why not branch out sooner? From my observations, my Swedish people speak English fine. In fact, the biggest EU teams in Dota right now are these international groups like Liquid, OG, and Secret.
The Swedish pool is good enough for one championship team. The problem is that Alliance can't get all of those players together. Offlane and captain seems the biggest issues if you can get Zai from EG.

Let's be honest: the "Swedes only" thing was probably just an excuse for the Envy kick.

Haha, 2017, still upset EE fan. Since were being "honest".

Not remotely upset. The kick was the right move for Alliance.

Well well. NiP being bad is no surprise
It's sad cuz the team doesn't get any support from the supporters of the brand they're representing. It's like they're treated as non-existent, not without reason though

Well. I just put my support on the shelf until after TI. Cool beans until then. Never cheered for NiP before so. :-/

Alright, sorry. Hard to take that comment seriously though. Since he's been keeping at it (the all swede thingy) for 4 years now it's clearly not the reason. And if it was a joke I apologize for my slowness.

Why could'nt the world just have miCKe playing with loda, akke, egm and bulldog...
Oh well at least miCke has a future now.

Damn, i was rooting for CB against NIP , still not over yet, i wonder if they started the year without the NIP trio and with this roster
|
So it's confirmed Of all the 3 Alliance teams Loda's is the worst xD

I mean unless they step their game up on day 2, the only Swedes playing at TI will be S4 and Zai. That said they already played the "hard" teams like Secret and Danish Bears (at least the Nips have) so maybe it's smoother sailing?

Out of Cresendo, Cool beans and alliance; Best chance for TI7? Alliance. Best potential in future? Cool beans
That's my thought at least. I even like CWM, which is rich from me tbh. But he plays well. I hope they step it up today.

I think Crescendo will do better then them. They have the better carry player, and excalibur doesnt seem worse then micke to me. If they still exist After TI that is.

I don't agree that loda is an liability.
Edit: xcalibur has played for longer than Micke without alot of improvement. That's why I said the team has better potential.

When was the last Time loda was a good carry? 3-4 years ago? Maybe he is just too old, but i dont think he will ever be on that level again. And when the person with the most farm on the team performs like this, you have a problem. He gets caught out way too often. Look at EG, VP, Liquid. They all have very stable and skilled Pos.1 Players. Those are a big part of the reason that the mid can play more flashy and risky. Replace loda, and the team could actually be legit. A player should know when its time to retire.

That's why I said the team has better potential. there's the same Issue as on Alliance - he's lazy burned out and doesn't put in the work. You just gotta work on your mechanics, play games with the everchanging patches. The 3 guys that are extremely relevant from old school are Burning, S4 and N0tail all of which are near the 8K mark and play a lot.
Loda doesn't and unless that changes this is game over for him

All good players need good players around them to shine, cuz u know, team game. That goes for all of the above listed players and teams. Loda is No different. Ofc he fails from time to time, so does everyone. Loda hasnt had a good drafter/captain since forever. Not a good team in general actually. Not saying loda is the best, by no means.. but I'm 100% sure he can still deliver in the right environment. Just like fear. Which he has proven. Loda can ofc improve, but he's no liability.
Sad beans didn't make it. Was fun to see Micke play on a rather high level at least. And his hero pool. Hope something becomes of this...
|
If he is the reason for swedish only, then yes he is a liability. But i dont know who is the reason for this sh*t idea.

Can't compare loda with fear because fear is actually a legit good player with brilliant mechanics. His stint as solo middle for eg really surprised me with his skill.
It's sad cuz we're talking about a stable #1, and my opinion was that loda was actually one of the most stable carries who you could rely to perform his role then. Not sure how much influence he has over drafting etc, but I'd like to think his ego plays a big part in his recent teams failing.
Also lolol at NIP. Before that qualifiers I had the impression that they thought they were good enough. But it's pretty obvious they ain't worthy of representing the organisation.
