I would actually would love if Dota 2 get some kind of bench, imagine changing a player in the middle of a series to add some verstatility, what would be so awesome Nah, Vanskor is basically out. 6th player is a more of a PR thing for now. However, I believe, with time, coaches, bench and other staff will develop in pro-scene there's a problem with bench players i think .. unlike on sc2/bw and other sports you usually never get to play if you are bench on dota since it's more advantageous to play as the same 5 always to build synergy etc etc also there's pretty much no need for bench players cause there are always plenty of stand.in's who are willing to play in dota .. although the other staffs and coach(the chinese team have coaches and during TI4 i think the western team did have some) sounds good You are right, but I guess that if LoL can use a bench Dota may too. Even Faker from SK Telecom, called by most "the best player in the world", got benched this season. You know, with the upcoming of Dota Major Championships, "bench" will find its place in each team because roster changes will be punished so everyone will have their subs. LoL structure is more organized than dota scene.
There's one problem again being benched is pretty similar to getting kicked means nobody wants you play on the team even meanwhile. I don't think those who are benched are gonna be pretty happy or wanted to with those on the team. From what i've seen there's a ton of time focused by teams on building synergy, who makes the shots and other stuff putting in another player would mean nothing is working out with the old player . So is there really a point for the player or the team to ever pick up that player ? i doubt it
And i doubt there's a dota pro that wants to wait on the bench status hoping to play on that team there's a huge chance he'd just dump the team and build a new one. When one player who is sucking could just convince his team that he needs time and they need to work harder. Not to mention not all pros can play all positions.

Empire play C9 on the 30th, therefore next game will either be scheduled after this series is done or it's already scheduled to start another day shortly after that.

goody your view is not wide enough. Of course RTZ won't sit in the bench waiting for Dendi to perform bad so he can play for NaVi. The benched guy is usually a noname or a raising player that will be more than pleased to be part of such organization and in turn this guy will have his opportunity, due to Xboct feeding or being sick or whatever reason. We are not talking about Barcelona or Real Madrid where even substitutes are better than the opposite team. This is Dota and the better players are considered to be few.

It if benefits the whole team and can turn around a series I would gladly leave my seat for 1-2 games, that also makes you a better player, knowing what are your limits.

Nevermind that guy.. "Counter-intuitive"??? Meh It is a game and can be played any way you want. Having more than five players can only widen your strategies and possibilities.

Based on Dendi's stream right now I think he's enjoying this patch.

He's also had an issue with lower-skill heroes dominating (that got a lot worse after he started talking about it), though I'm not sure how much that's been affected yet. We'll see how the meta shakes out.

We'll see how the meta shakes out. It's crazy how much Dendi's magnus has improved. I remember it being a good pick in TI3, but Puppey was scared of picking it for Dendi because it was really hit and miss (good games he played great but bad games he was super lost).
He's super super enjoying this patch with the glimmer capes :D + Show Spoiler +

Dendi's career stats on Magnus are sick. I think he just wasn't practicing it, thus its inconsistency.

Even the games where Dendi seemed lost at the Ti with Magnus I remember him managing to execute 1-2 very good RPs to win them the game or at least to make them have a chance further in the game. I don't remember a game where Dendi couldn't land any fight-changing RPs, though I must be just overlooking.
Today is the day though, looking forward to some nice dota at last.

Maybe it was Alienware Cup then? I forget, but some Magnus games were meh (but none were as bad as Na'vi vs LGD where xiao8 RPed the ground twice in a game?)
Finally! Let's get some more W's!

We will see.
As long as they reach, with time, top 5 in EU, I will be more than happy.

well since artstyle's return all navi's doing is pick roaming jungler and go dive towers like it's 2011 again. problem is teams have gotten a lot better since then and the risk to reward ratio is a lot worse when ur putting a timer on ur lineup like that.
