Im still happy we got to see them and beat BU
Gotta start from somewhere.
Most important is tomorrow's game against C9 ... but i have my doubts... strong doubts
Saving strats for C9.
Or maybe just testing several different things and seeing what is working best.
to be fair, thats what i see in every pro match so far in 6.84
Teams are kinda clueless on what its supposed to be the meta, we know deathball/push seems to be strong, but theres so many combinations with the new stuff that its hard to say at this point

Yeah not impressed at all by the team these last couple games. The new lineup seemed to have found something during the bootcamp but now it's like it's slowly getting back to unsynchronized teamfights, random yolo moves and generally no sense of late game strategy whenever they can't finish a game the way they like.
Wonder if they kept practicing after bootcamp or if this is just the result of being back to their old ways of "let's use tournaments for training games" mentality that, among other things, seemed to pretty much destroy the team over the years.
Bootcamp barely lasted any time at all. I wouldn't attribute their early form to bootcamp at all outside the fact that they were all together, with staff even.
I only saw half the games today so there's not a ton I can comment on. I do know I was unimpressed by Funn1k, as we all were for a while before he left. I really think the kid's over it and they shouldn't have brought him back.
Bootcamp or not, they were looking a lot more promising than they had been for months.
I don't know about Funn1k, feels like he's super mediocre when the team isn't "clicking" but still pretty clutch/solid when stuff is working out. I mean just look at the run he had with Empire at MLG a couple weeks ago.
Agree that we probably won't see him get back his 2013ish level/consistency but it's extremely hard to blame an individual player these days on the team, because whatever lineup change they go for seem to not matter at all in the mid/long run. Look at DKPhobos and Fng. They're like 10 times the players they were when playing for Na'Vi.
I find it a bit disheartening but I hope it has only to do with the new patch and that it will only get better. I didn't expect them to win against C9, and against Alliance, no matter how much I hate ratdoto, I felt it would end that way no matter what. Hopefully Icefrog will implement a few changes to tune down ratdoto before TI5, just tune it down a bit.
I wish they would practice some of those heroes you see played by other teams, like Tiny Clock Naga and so on. They already have the knowledge to play what we always see, learning those would only help them expand their strategies and chances. I am saying this since a long time ago, I understand they don't like the playstyle but it will only lead to failure and eventually disband.
Let's go guys, hope to see you in better shape soon.

I don't find it that hard to blame a person. Artstyle has been throwing hard. Whether you play worse on Na'Vi or not, he simply dies way too often in random spots just like Xboct in his prime. He has moments where he shines (sniping courier with bottle) and then dies all the time, forcing Dendi to buy items he doesn't want and throwing the whole team back too much. He's a bad support player.

At this rate Na'Vi won't make it to TI.
WOW! A few days ago, before the patch, NaVi was rocking and ArtStyle was doing more than fair enough. Man, what is up with you? Yeah, they both had bad performances, and Xboct went Chasebot again a few times, so what?
Take a look at Bulldog, after getting his ass handed to him at TI4 he abandons the team, and he reappears after Icefrog buffs his best heroes. He is someone to blame, he is someone to point at and say he can't play patches that doesn't fit his playstyle.
I just answered to you because you didn't say "pls disband".

There could definitely be some minor balance patches (there already was one, but it apparently wasn't big enough to deserve a letter).
Why blame artstyle when he is the reason why the team now has some form of identity and play style. Blame the team collectively for not having good executions and decision making yet. Anyone following navi games since artstyle returned should be able to notice so much improvements in the team as compared to before.

I don't want another patch for them to step up, I meant they were finally finding some footing on a patch old enough, this one is completely new and I don't expect them to rock right from the start (contrary to what I would have expected of the Ppy+Kky iteration). But you are right, it is now or never, they just played eight games, C9, Empire, Alliance and Basically Unknown, the first four were no surprise, versus Alliance I can say they would have won with the previous patch, and they won the remaining two.

I don't know why people is so harsh either. Yea, he made many questionable moves, life goes on.
Today I came up with a disturbing concept: "Love is when you see Xboct chasing after a support when three of his teammates are dead and the other one running away, while the enemy team collapse onto him and you just think full of satisfaction "Yea bro, get that support" with a smile on your face.
I would really like if you shared some thoughts about this and maybe express some of your feelings too.
Some may say that Xboct doing Xboct's things gets plain old, but I say he is only trying to encourage those who will come after he is gone.
