The problem with the lgd draft is that they picked Pudge to buy space, but for who? Tusk mag Pudge are space creators, Chen doesn't need that space, am can be given space without the Pudge pick. The draft was flawed in the first place.
What's encouraging is that aside from fnatic game, navi didn't play too badly. Even against lgd, they played pretty good but the draft just got countered by disruptor and dual cores.
Well I dunno how much bad blood axmo has with arstyle, I hope they're cool with it. Art style draft hasn't been on point though. Dendi not playing core heroes is hurting navi a lot, especially since axmo and sonneiko are often given space creating heroes as well.
So Alliance beat Liquid 2-0 to go to grand finals. So Navi >Liquid? I kid, I kid. But I think this tournament shows a few things, one, best of ones for seeding are meh, two, EU team rankings for who better is pretty close and changes day to day.
Well, it seems we just need to wait for Ppy, Kky, Funn1k and Xboct to come back so they are back like [A]

I would rather say EU is hard as f*ck in comparison to other regions, I don't know what is Valve going to do about it. I guess nothing.

What? Link?
Well, besides Reddit and his Twitter nothing else. If it is true, it is a shame, the guy was good enough and could get better no doubt about it. And even ArtStyle said he was promising, I guess this dispute ended as bad as it could, can't blame either side, you can't go on if some young player is already on bad terms with the captian whoever he is.

Hope he finds his form and Na'Vi back competing with Alliance EG Secret etc.
Watch his interview, he gives some insights about how the game changed, pretty good ones, they make you realize how much the game changed from TI3 onwards, and why he and the likes of him are not so impactful as they used to.
That was an amazing interview. Dendi just has so much raw charisma it's incredible, not to mention the way he answered all those difficult questions without missing a single beat. Very impressive. The interviewer was great, too, with how she moved so smoothly between relevant questions that drew out more detail from Dendi while moving him through a variety of subjects. Maybe it's that I don't understand the language, but English interviews always seem a lot choppier to me. Either way, the pair of them played off one another really well to give a productive and interesting discussion on the game.
Does anyone know what Dendi's referring to when he talks about casters destroying the livelihood of players? I'm pretty sure it's a CIS thing, given context, but I don't know much about their casting scene.
It just occurred to me, but missing out on Shanghai might be really good for Na'Vi long-term. Thanks to losing, they're now in a really good position to be scrim partners with teams who did qualify. The major teams aren't going to have to worry about concealing strats from Na'Vi, so they get to have an all-out experience: probably the next best thing to playing in actual tournaments. It could really expedite their development with whoever their new 3 turns out to be.

i mean, look at EG, they won TI with Aui but they still kick him after that because of not being comfortable with him
I'm thinking that it was mostly made by NaVi themselves. Axmo was bragging about scrim results (big no-no to talk about specific scrim results in public), then he went on public forums to criticize his captain for bad drafts immediately after they lost games. It seems to me that axmo is not mature enough to play professional dota, certainly not in a big brand team like NaVi

Yeah can't do that and expect to remain in the team. Best of luck to Navi, so possibly Yoky? Unless they want to get another young up and comer.

I wouldn't count on that. From what we hear about every team that attends TI (or the newer Majors), teams still end up scrimming with other qualified teams.
Navi withdraws from captain draft 3.0 and will no longer play in online tournaments without a LAN final. x3m4eg is the event manager for dota2RuHub. I guess this is the result of the team owner union from last year. On the bright side, Dendi will have a lot of time to stream.

but but but... the interview says Dendi and Na'vi are going to be playing lots of online tournaments? I don't think they should be picky right now especially as their roster isn't even fully set. Ax.mo, as good as he was, seems to not have the mental fortitude and professional demeanor that separates good from great players (or have insane skill like some players who can complain and get courted by top teams aka arteezy). He was good, and we were very excited for him to get his first LAN experience, but he proved to us all ever so clearly that he didn't benefit from the LAN. Rather he dug a grave and jumped right into it.
Captain's draft tournament is the exact kind of place you want to test out new blood. Stupid decision unless they just couldn't confirm a 5th player, in which case hats off to them for not fucking the tournament up with shit standins non stop and rescheduling.
