EE interview with Hotbid. The recorder's shit(LD said they swapped it out after day 1), so it can be kind of hard to understand.
I enjoyed the interview, but the part with aui and the supports bugged the hell out of me; a large part of me wishes that they went to SL11; the old roster would have had a strong chance of winning sigh
We were also so close to having my ideal C9 EE RTZ Bone7 Aui PLD
:/
That could have been incredible. PLD would fit nicely into that sort of team. Would still have questions about Bone's pool of heroes though. I like bone but idk doesn't seem like he's improved.
- I don't quite understand why they dropped out of both of those tournaments if the captain felt he needed them that badly.
i-League was just due to the shadiness of their communication with the organizers and the misinformation they were given. SL I'm not sure if it was just the rest of the team wanting a break (they would have had to play all their SL games directly after coming back from a 3 week lan trip to DH and Summit and also play Dotapit playoffs at the same time), or if perhaps they didn't want to play because of the payment troubles SL has had. I don't think there was a clear reason given for dropping out of SL.

EE was very vocal about the fact they were still waiting on money from SL9, which happened close to a year beforehand. I'd be surprised if that wasn't it.

"Cloud9’s 2014 anything-can-happen play style, the team culture that won them popularity polls — that is gone. They may be more consistent or even a better Dota 2 team now, but I, like many other fans, will always mourn their unpredictability and flair...
Jacky did what Jacky had to do. But in some alternate dimension, C9 fans deserved to clone Artour and see that MLG-winning team play at TI."
Wow, so Cloud 9 could actually be a really amazing team. But probably only without Bone 7. Same Problem Secret had, not too many good offlaners in western Dota.

TBH, b7 didn't lose that game (though he didn't help) - shot calling lost that one.
EE was playing fine, entire team was doing okay with exception of bone7 who just got progressively worse throughout the series. Game 2 tho......... they even had inventory space on most of their heroes, absolutely no excuse to not have TPs there.
Bone7 gets so much criticism. I know it's been a long time, but is it possible he can like improve himself to the point of stability or is he completely FUBAR and needs to be replaced?
I love Bone7, I've seen him do miraclous plays but he makes all these mistakes, and I don't see their competition making so many blunders. And if the goal is to win TI (Envy does not want to be complacent, I think before teams were just happy to make a living off of Dota full-time, but Envy wants to WIN and win big), then something needs to happen in their training or strategy so it doesn't feel like they're sabotaging themselves every other game.
