It's a really fucked up philosophy, lmao. It's like those people that say there's no such thing as a selfless or charitable act because they get self gratification for doing something good. Like I don't donate money to help starving kids, I donate money to make my ego feel good that I'm so good-spirited. It's too much!!!

Not a rant, just answering questions because it seems it's his last stream until after TI Also, he's saying the exact opposite of your example. He's saying that people should be thankful for stuff that others do for them, this means he believes in people doing stuff for other people, doesn't it? Also he didn't say for themselves he said "for the win". That's why he believes thanking in game is meaningless, because everyone is doing what they're doing in game for winning.

Did you actually listen? I did listen to it. Maybe it's just me interpretting it or his choice of words. his choice of words was something along the lines of like they're not doing it x, they're doing for it for themselves. I get what he's saying, I admire him being so blunt.

Everything we do, we do for ourselves or our 'ego' and our subconscious mind rewards it. One of the purposes of meditation is not to react to our subconscious mind so we can make decisions at the highest levels of consciousness. A bit off topic and I don't know too much about it, but I think EE's thoughts are along this line.

At the same time, you wouldn't GET ANGRY at someone thanking you in a game, which EE said he did when someone remarked "Thanks for carrying me" after a C9 match.

I mean, if you follow the analogy, that's like saying "Thanks for winning the game for me" after someone scores the majority of points in a game, and maybe you sucked or didn't try hard or both. It's perfectly natural to get mad at that. Not to single you out or anything, but I'm always amused by people who go out of their way to point out how EE is supposedly socially inept.
