The Forest legit is decent, I just think it fucks up the "safe zone" that you explore from in these kinds of games. In minecraft you place a fuckton of torches and build some kind of stronghold so shit can't spawn / get in there. In Subnautica you build a cool base and have a place to store the tons of crap you're going to collect and don't have to worry about it getting eaten by a shark or anything. In The Forest, you build a base and some fucking asshole NPCs can rip down your walls and break into your shit and try kill you, and the mechanics for why this happens are horribly obscure. You can't build a safe zone. There are a ton of things in the game that you think should be safe, but if you build them you spend as much time maintaining those things as you would save by them existing. Once I stopped trying to build a safe place and just became some kind of insane spelunker person with a backpack full of shit, I enjoyed the game a lot more. Also it being coop is a huge plus. The way you trade items makes me laugh every time.

Kinda get the same vibe in RDR2 for the faces of most people outside of the main characters, lol. Huh, combat in nier is so fukin fun to me. Dodging like that rules. Ok but outer wilds is perfect and subnautica is pretty good so this makes me think the forest isnt bad lmao i had considered moving my gaming pc (or building a tiny little guy for my tv, which would be kinda fun) but hadn't considered just using my laptop and a contorller hahaha Your gonna fukn love disco elysium lol. I was going to ask too, I have a few friends that I play multiplayer games with, the last few that we played were Marbles on Stream, Among Us, Terraria, For The King, GTA, CSGO, DotA, Golf With Friends, are there any small (not csgo or dota like) games that are fun to pick up and play for an hour or two that a bit off the beaten path gameplay wise that you would all recommend? It's pretty fun to go from Terraria, to CSGO, to Golf With Friends, considering their experiences are all so unique. I appreciate it

Overcooked Spelunky Helldivers First two are a bit of a rougelike (or however you write that) Overcooked is just silly fun for a while Spelunky also a rougelike Helldivers is starship troopers top down co-op. All are fun
