Clearly the next thing Icefrog needs to do is to release an updated system that tons down bounty gold just a little bit. He should call it the "sugar pill" update.

i just think it may become a thing where you can feed early game and "get back into it" by just killing off their carry.

it seems rather silly that the team ahead has to play more carefully/cautiously than the team behind.

at one point, zeus killed me and got 169 gold :D, i killed him back and got 2.2k. :D

If the comeback bonus is based on net worth, does that mean it's better to store items on the ground in the fountain than in stash? And that 6-slotted carries should buy and use consumables in base just to burn their excess gold?

Networth includes unused consumables and items on the ground according to valve. So apart from literally buying and using salves (or selling and rebuying items) u can't decrease it like that.

I had a game where the other team was destroying us, we have a safelane void who is choked out on farm with just a treads mom mael at 30mins. We get one lucky smoke gank where we came from highground onto their 5man ball lowground, wipe them (with void getting 3 last hits) he now has a fucking daed + 1k from just one fucking fight.

We ended up winning the game with our better late game, but even my team of pubs thought the amount of gold swing was too much, we really did deserve to lose that game.

Okay then. Better not deny that enemy branch sitting in the middle of the lane, because it'll cost us a few gold next time we kill its owner (or they kill me).

Also, burning a Clarity/Tango during each base visit feels like something 6-slotted players should already be doing.

i think it needs to be reigned in by like 33-40% tbh. it's nice to have a catch up mechanic, but it shouldnt be so drastic that unless your team is built around killing t3 towers + barracks you can never end the game.

yea i saw this game, i thought it was kinda dumb. morphling got picked off in a silly spot, but really it just seems dumb that it can be such drastic swings. the net worth graph in that game looked like the EKG of a crack addict.

Latest game... BS feeds 19 kills... we turtle up for 10 min... Other team pushes T3... we kill 4 and I have enough gold to buy my aghs and refresher. We are still down by 20+ kills. Other team dives again and we kill 3, then push for the win.

As for pub games, feeders (or someone who gets ganked alot/has a bad start) can actually be good for your team. I like the comeback potential, though it may be a bit much - not totally sure yet. I think people just need to get used to the new play-style and realize the best team fight will usually win.

Do you remember what the overall Net Worth of your teams were?
Regardless, this is the kind of crap that's just not funny at the moment, whether it is solo laddering or watching pro matches. The swings are just too gigantic.

i feel like the crimson gaurd is nice and all in teamplay, but if you dont team up or people lack the skill (read:brains) to do so, its pretty useless and maybe too expensive (except for axe). Im not yet impressed by that item but i didnt have alot of minions against me in that 1 game

Do you have a match ID? I'd like to watch that game. Agreed though, have played games today with a similar feeling. Eventually you just starting playing ultra-passive once you get ahead. As in; deward their entire map, choke their jungle and get Aegis, then just poking at towers with an anchor (Razor, Viper, Death Prophet etc) so as to not risk getting a bad teamfight and giving away 5-10k gold.

I'm probably missing something obvious, but how can I see the fight recap screen? What's the default hotkey/Where's the respective entry in the options?
edit: found it (It's available under the ingame clock, but only after a "fight". Which Valve seems to define slightly different than I do.)
