I am not usually judging quick as this, but this patch is crap. All games i played so far were decided by carry picks. Basically if your evemy has stronger carry, you lost. There is no intention to get towers as it is worthless anyways. The best way to win is do nothing, just farm and wait for the enemy to push and punish them with good defense. Not sure how much of an issue it will be in pro games as the teams come up with new strategies, but pub games are just ridiculous now.
Brood War is the best RTS that has ever been created.

that goes for many of carries, if they don't accomplish goals of theirs.

take pugna for instance. if he doesn't take the outter towers quickly, his potency tapers off.

it's not a matter of her fitting into the meta, its a matter of her having a niche as an illusion hero slayer and a hero who can take another hero and disable them for 4 seconds, potentially earning free damage. just like several carries in CM.

They got themselves in a disadvantage to begin with. By your logic you would give a map of adv to those who come from the lower bracket and by mine i would not give any advantage to either part.

you basically outlined all of the problems people were complaining about with the last patch, that the patch was designed to fix. no longer can the enemy team just face rush you without defense. now you have the opportunity to save every T1, and punish your enemies for grouping up for a push its too early to make. thank goodness, in my eyes.

Also there were other changes against the push meta. Glyph, nerfs on various popular heroes etc. The gold thing is just the planer of mediocrity.

Just played Chaos knight again: With the almost double duration of the ultimate you can send 5 illusions to a 2rax+tower and they will clear all when under focus fire, even when 3 enemies are around. When going skadi > refresher its just silly, your 10 illusions of 34 seconds can manfight there entire team solo!
The two NBA teams in states with legal weed are called the Nuggets and the Blazers...

You dont have to outplay them, you just have to kill a couple of them not actually winning a fight (in the old sense of the word)

First patch in Dota 2 that feels just wrong for me, played one game, decided not to bother more.That gold + exp change feels so not dotaish.

think this way. its very likely that most heros on your team get their core items,
even if that games goes very onesided in the beginning.

this are really insane buffs for supports known as very greedy.
look at that spoiler. i am that warlock and had a very hard game.
i still was able to get an agha and on a good way to refresher.
the screenshot shows the game winning fight.
we won, because that fight alone made gyro get a rapier :D
he literaly just had his core items before the fight and came out with 5k gold.
we won easily.

The best part of this patch is watching pro players stream. Watched No-Tail this morning:

"Omg, this game is like fucking easy mode, there is so much gold!" Both teams have 50 kills and he then solo pushes his incredibly farmed tinker into a tower, only to be killed by storm spirit and invoker, both who have hexes.

Buys back, dies again.

Bad habits are hard to break.

Yes, he did, but his team mates were idiots and so was he, which is why they kept feeding gold to the enemy team. The number of times he solo pushed a total with that storm on the map was beyond silly. I wouldn't have noticed if he didn't whine about how there was so much gold when he and the ember were the main cause of the gold.

Plus the divine rapier on Meepo after ember dropped it. The game was super clowny.

Are you saying this is good?
Imagine being on the other side of that log, imagine how freaking frustrated you'd be having played a perfect early-midgame and then losing one bad teamfight, giving away a 10 000 gold net worth swing and losing the game.
I'd uninstall and go do something rewarding instead.
Even less people are going to want to play support in pub games in this patch.
