I was under the impression it was impossible to lose as Antimage.... I was just proven wrong! A team full of complete morons will still ruin the game!

3 match losing streak sucks balls.

minimap awareness, unit control, hotkey usage, etc; all the mechanics transfer over, you just have to learn items/heroes and stuff

obviously it still takes some work, but simply having good mechanics is going to put you far above average in terms of skill level

Is Dota2 still up atm? It opens up but then doesn't let me open any of the tabs at the top (today, updates, play etc).

edit: nvm steam restart fixed this.

ok i think i want to know this: how many times out of all of your loses have you blame yourself? Like you understand the lose was your own fault, not your team not enemy team but YOU! Give me the %

In starcraft you can lose the game because of one big mistake, in dota it never happens(must be a series of mistakes).

Also we must realize that apart from some epic missmicroes or missclicks, it's mostly miscommunication that causes loses. Someone might dive into tower thinking he has support of his team only to realize they all went back or just stood there, often saying you are noob. Ofc I sometimes fail few times in a row and lose games, happens to the best, but it's not more than 5% of games(mostly first and last game in the day).

Kind of disagree. The tech skill is very easy unless you play Chen or something and time stuns, though even that's not all that difficult. However, Dota's much more based around knowledge than technical skill. Also lasthitting is a totally new thing that SC players won't have any inherent advantage at, and the kiting or whatever is much slower-paced.

I really don't even know which skills translate over... watching minimap and mouse and keyboard control and accuracy? I think it's mostly about being good at playing games or at learning games, not SC2 in specific.

Why did I typo shen as chen

Since Dota is a wc3 pp and the engine is more or less the same, the like of grubby/naniwa would be pretty good in dota if they take the time to learn all the small but very important details. But that's a pointless post. (mine)

Since I play a carry everytime I play lol/dota, I blame myself 80% of the time :D

Shouldn't really blame anyone? It's 16-0 12mins in, your heroes really weren't that awful, without looking at the game, it seems obvious the other team just heavily outplayed yout team. Switching a couple of heroes would likely not have made a diference. Maybe they were a group of 5 that is new to the MM so they are still at the wrong MMR, maybe your team had a few drunk friends that just got back from a party and are playing like shit, maybe the matchmaking just screwed up completelly, people shouldn't be blame just for being worse than the other team. Extreme cases are the worst examples you could come up with, if one person can be blamed, the game should be close enough that replacing said person made a diference. If he wasn't responsible for like 12 of those kills, this was not the case. Some games you just lose and move on, there is nothing you could have done wether it's your fault as well or not.

Viable build if you get a freefarm lane, no point leaving it until lvl 10+, which was probably not the case here though...
