Doing that in dota 1 would make you actually take more dmg... since it checks as soon as the attack starts, not when the attack lands.

Nooooo don't do this. Wait for call to end, doing anything else will make it worse. Axe doesn't like it when you struggle.

If you spam ANY action during the influence of Beserkers call, you are essentially giving his passive an additional chance to proc for EVERY action you spam.
DONT DO IT.
If you're called, just hope you don't die.

In dota 1, i think spamming S or cancelling has 1 benefit which is the fact that it makes you does not break invis Not sure if it was ever changed.
In dota 2 it seems that you can't do that anymore ( as in berserker call will call you out of invis no matter if you spam cancel or S)
Anyone can confirm/correct me if i'm wrong?

I never really liked Vanguard anyways, except on like, Viper Razor Axe Spectre, I hate it on carries like AM I think its almost silly to waste 1900 gold on the vit booster and RoH when you can just get the persev done or claymore.

Was playing a game today as Brood where I got 5 sec arrowed, and then went back invis, Axe runs up to me calls, and since i was stunned I couldn't attack him and reveal myself. First time arrow has saved my life.

I never played Dota competitively (only with friends when we LAN'd up and with my brother, dorm mates, etc. ever since the version 5.29 era) until Dota2 beta which I got into around September. No I didn't play during the vanguard era but I played when all those stats were on the purchasable aegis lol. Yeah its been buffed constantly and only was nerfed recently, which i didn't play on, but that doesn't change the fact that RIGHT NOW in THIS version, I do not like Vanguard on so many heroes. I said nothing of not liking it during the 'vanguard era' lol

Vanguard is still easily the most cost-efficient item in the game, but you're right that it is bad when a hero gets it instead of a farming item if they're not in extreme danger and not going to teamfight too much.

It's not and it never has been. That would be Ironwood Branches. Even if you're choosing similar-costed items to compare cost-effectiveness, Mekansm and Janggo are still more cost-effective than Vanguard.
Comparing pure cost-effectiveness has always been awkward with DotA items though because of how larger items are generally less cost-effective (to account for the fact that they take up less slots).

digging darkseer jungle so far... you should be reaching lv 6 at the same time as solo mid if do it correctly @_@... sadly its a bit hard to gank using jungle darkseer...
If anyone has any good method of ganking from jungle as darkseer please do tell... i think just run out with shell and chase them is a bit too risky and fragile (unless you have a good line up builld around DS which dont happen in pub) -_-... Also since ganking isnt guarantee money, sometime its better just to stay jungle ~_~...
also how do you build DS item wise? I have been going mana boot lately but i did say some people bought the tranquil to get the early healing and void stone for mana instead. Core is always scepter into refresher :-/...

Ion shell yourself, come from behind, Vacuum him towards the direction of your tower, block him, surge, collect kill
if needed surge your team mates.
But its fairly situational, in some situations you can also ion shell your team mates(stuff like bounty hunter Ion shell is trololololol btw)like Rikimaru or heroes who have jump skills(and may or may not have bought boots) then surge them. There is no ''this is how you do it'' Dark Seer is very versatile in that.
As for building him, vanguard to arcane boots boots(can swap these around) you can go soul ring aswell if you like but its not always needed and can delay other items. Look if you need a pipe(you usually need one) then go Aghanims and collect win.

I just dont know how to deal with Ursa. I got NO idea. This game I just played was so stupid. Me as Sand King and Sniper lane. Enemy lane was Ursa and Axe. In lane, Ursa got no kills at all. Got 1 assist from a gank. Sniper useless as ever just didnt lasthit at all and didnt harras too. Basicly he did a A-Click somewhere in the mid of the lane and nothing else. I could get near Ursa cause he would kill me in lane with Axe since sniper was no help at all (at least for our team). But I managed to get some farm. I got treats, blink dagger and a Urn pretty fast. Ursa meanwhile went roaming and just murdered everyone except bot lane. When we put some efford in teamfight we win most of them narrowly mostly 4v5. It looked all good until Ursa got a Roshan and aegis and from there on he just murdered everyone with 4 hits at a tower, died, respawned and ran away. In the end he was 10/0/4 or something.
Also at my lowest Elo just about everyone is offended if you ask them for help or tell them what not to do and arent cooperative at all. The game itself is fun, but I cant just win because people dont know how to play it at all. And I'm not a pro, but stuff like lasthitting or not running solo into enemy teams is something most pubs at my level dont do.

only one game we didn't lose was having like 5 spare disables to use on him -_- even then he was a tough bitch because he had frigging bkb lol
