i like EG cause maelk (and old school cs fan of theirs) but i really dislike demon. -,-
demon always talking shit and trashing on other players but hasn't played for shit recently, so I was happy to see quantic smash him up. (this kind of makes me hypocrite since I like idra lol.. and badr hari... oh well)
quantic are badass because they told SK to piss off with their low offers, found a new team and are playing great dota. That takes balls.

Don't even know what to say about the games of today, I can't even call them bad, they were just....sad.
EG really dissapointed today imo.

Don't know why people are shitting on demon. I only watched the 2nd game but really they just seemed to have a bad strat executed badly. They all played badly it looked like

I was under the impression Maelk and Fear were the captains, drafters, and general strategic callers, not demon.

Hmmm... since I didn't find a proper thread for stuff like this with a quick search and I'm not sure if it fits simple Q&A, I'll just ask it in here:
There is exactly one point about dota 2 that's annoying the crap out of me. Size of the UI.
I'm playing on a 30' monitor at 2560x1600 native resolution and to me the UI is just incredibly huge. I'd like to find a way to make it smaller. I found that the UI size does NOT change if I play at 1920x1200 instead so my guess might be that it's a problem with higher resolutions.
I'd like to find a way that makes it possible so I can:
a) Zoom out further. (Which is probably neither possible nor within the TOS.) b) Make the UI smaller. In any Valve game I'm aware of this was no problem at all and - at the very minimum - possible via .cfg edits.
...can someone tell me where the heck I can find an option for that stuff? =S

Maelk is captain, not Demon, I am not sure where you get the impression that Demon is captain, I think Fear and Maelk both do drafting and strategies and stuff.

It's not. If there's an option to change it (which I just can't find) it's no gameplay advantage, durp. As I said, every single Valve game had options for that, I'm just inable to find where it is for Dota2.
|
Like... where do you imagine this option exists? It doesn't because the UI is part of the game, and like he said, game balance considers these types of things.

They all played badly it looked like demon played well the first game, he had some hiccups the 2nd game but there was a lot of miscommunication anyway. the entirety of EG has played badly in these last 4 games in the defense for some reason or another, you can't pin the blame on one person at all.
maelk does the drafting now, fear is listed as official captain though.

Demon isn't the captain, nor is Maelk. Fear is the captain, Maelk is the DRAFTER.
Either way Demon's Invoker is so like...bland. It doesn't take over the game, doesn't help his teammates perform well enough to win, he just goes neutral in alne against his opponent, maybe wins his lane, doesn't farm at a supreme rate, just....average maybe a bit above average. It just wasn't enough to win the game or help his team win the game when using a first pick on invoker. He does everything good but nothing great.
And then giving Quantic AM is just....I don't get it, they should rather give Prophet Ench Chen, but instead they give both AM and Ench in the end. I'm not a better drafter than Maelk but that just blew my mind, you know Link fucking loves AM.

AM is strong but they didn't lose the game because they gave them AM imo, Quantic had a very strong pushing lineup which was complemented by the aggressive AM build, something we don't often see, Void his battlefury was delayed, and even if he had that battlefury, he wasn't able to do anything with it either way because AM didn't go for one, AM could enter teamfights while Void outside of Chrono couldn't.While the AM pick certainly had an impact, EG played fairly sloppy and not as good as they have done previously and that is what cost them.
That being said Misery had some ridicilous backtrack luck rofl.

I'm not saying its Demon's fault, I'm saying at that level, almost every time Invoker makes it through and is a pick, the Invoker does something extraordinary to make the difference. This doesn't mean Demon played bad, it means he didn't play as well as the hero can be played.
