i rerolled the attackspeed into a socket
i have 2 5+/40+ int/vit rings but when i was running t1 core i felt pretty threatened by jailers so i tried to get more cc reduction. i don't have enough gold to finish royal topazes for my chest yet. my main problem with t1 is that i don't have enough sustained dps, so i'm also trying to get apoc on my source so i don't need to spend so much time using electrocute. you think my blood shards are better off gambling amulets?
still not sure the most efficient way to get shards or if i should just continue to run t1 core
|
normal rift run will get you about 25 blood shards, t1 rift run about 50. I have spent easily 1000 blood shards on 5 shard priced items and have only gotten 1 legendary out of it. It's not very effective...
And btw, Amui: how did you get the salvation shield for your crusader? Bounty bags act V I heard somewhere?
|
1 legendary every 1000 shards (5 per item) is around my experience as well. I probably have invested more than 3000 shards so far and received 3 legendaries.
So basically every 200 items you get one legendary, resulting around a 0.5% chance. This of course if based on personal experience.
Also I roughly get 1 legendary every 2-3 rift runs on Torment I, with each run taking 10-20 minutes depending on the density of mobs.

|
So does that mean that if I want that shield I should do act V over and over again or do I just open bounty bags while I'm in act V? In other words: do bounty bags know where they were farmed and on which difficulty?

So you have to keep doing the act 5 bounties over and over for the best chance.
Difficulty doesn't really matter that much for those items, it only affects the drops you are getting while doing the bounties, but not legendaries available from the bags. If you just want the shield it's probably most efficient to breeze through those bounties on normal.

After a week now I have quite mixed feelings about RoS. Game sure is good, a lot of stuff got improved, it generally plays much better than vanila D3 did. The problem for me is the so much hyped loot 2.0 and related to that, removal of any form of trading. So I have been progressing last week like everyone else did, with not so much effort managed to get around 1,4m selfbuffed dps and 4m toughness (for reference: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/galek-2158/hero/5031879). I breeze through t1 and t2, didn't even bother to try t3 as for now since I already didn't feel any difference at all between t1 and t2 anyways regarding drop rates (roughly a legendary every 2 rifts on both), I die due to my sloppy plays here and there and that is fine, difficulty seems okish, somewhat balanced.
Now to the point. I find loot system (well, to be more specific, lack of trading) as it is right now, completely awful. In this last week I managed to drop 5 mempos (never happened to drop a single one during my ~500hrs of vanila d3) all of which rolled int obviously. Now, I would be bilionaire if that happened in the game that allows me to trade but becouse I can't do anything at all with these, the exceptional drops are completely wasted (I am not even encouraged to roll, say a barbarian due to all of the mempos having int roll). Of course you can say there is mystic to solve my problems but then again it will always force me to reroll that int instead of other stats. Another example: managed to drop 3 of the new follower items - 2 for scoundrel and one for templar. These rolled int yet again! (though according to blue post on eu forums, this is said to be a bug). So I'm not exactly sure what to do with the smart drops that apparently are not so smart. Should the new mempos be slightly better than the first one dropped? Should the game limit the amount of same items dropped to some extent?
Right now I feel like I would much rather play the old loot system (the only thing that needed to be fixed was the fact that item could roll more than one main stat, thats about it) with the so much hated AH, BUT with rifts, bounties, torment changes and all that. I never felt like AH was any problem at all (normal AH that is, RMAH is whole another story). I still don't understand how Blizzard could have just removed the trading, which was always essential part of the series. Can you imagine getting Enigma, with only self found runes in D2? Bots and maphacks were rampant back then, yet it was never a huge problem and while a lot of people did exploit that, there were still tons and tons of players who had no problems at all balancing the self-found gameplay with the ability to trade (which sometimes meant trading with cheaters).
Blizzard also announced ladder seasons coming into play very soon. While that was vital to keep up the economy fresh in D2, I can already see that being insanely frustrating in current state of D3. So you were dropping a lot of cool items last season and finally managed to set up a powerful character? You finally dropped that Thunderfury between all these random, useless for your build other onehanders you can't trade? Yeah, right time to reset then. Other than that, what is the point of paragons if these are going to be reset at the start of new ladder season (if these will just stay bound to account there is hardly any sense to introduce ladder seasons yet again). I can see the purpose of ladder but if that is coming, remove the BoA bullshit as well and game is going to be a real part of the Diablo series.
TL:DR Let us trade, no need to bring back AH - just remove BoA. We can make use of trade forums.

Do Malthael still drop guaranteed legendary first kill when lvl 70? I say that he does while my friend says that he only drops guaranteed legendary at lvl 59 (like all the other bosses).

Same for Diablo pre RoS (donno if he still does it post aswell).

Which classes would be considered the strongest nowadays? Also why is there little trading apart from no AH?

Wizard>DH>Monk>Barb>WD(with strong legndaries and VERY specific gear)>Crusaders I think.

One flaw imo is its not much decisions when it comes to the gear. Socket on weapon crit/cd for dmg
A good 1handed drops ->you equip it. No decision, its one of the best weapons. Thunderfury etc
I thought blizzard wanted it to be about decisions when they talked so much about the gear.
|
the socket roll on any weapon is just too strong, that makes a lot of weapons shitty :3
besides that the bugs in this game are taking too long to be fixed, shard of hatred and horadrim gloves just one example. doing t3 rifts in 5 minute achievement cuz the weapons legendary effect is still not fixed :x
|
i think it's more that crit damage is too important since it affects every single ability. would be more interesting if spells and physical abilities were functionally separate and spells were independent of weapon dps
that's more a problem with the way that blizzard designed d3's entire item/skill system and unlikely to change though

The lvl 67-70 are painfully slow. Anybody knows or could give a tip to grind out those levels ? I want to wait until 70 to kill malthael, so no adventure mode for me yet.

I don't think waiting to kill Malthael is a good idea. The exp rates in adventure mode are much better so you'll save a lot of time killing him.

If your willing to do brainless farming there is the Act 2 Royal Audience quest + Rescue Adria right after. Its short and since your completing 2 quests you get a lot of xp for the time invested.

Probably unwise, but i am a bit obtuse about that one.

Thank you. Yeah, seems pretty straightforward. I am doing some masters rumford quest and seems to give nice xp, but it sort of risky for me, and i am playing hardcore, and it is my first char.

Be careful then with rescuing Adria since the sewers are a somewhat risky area on Hardcore ^^
