About the expac, it looks great
It doesn't appeal to me neither as a self-found player since I lose all the cool things I've found, but I assume its more for the auction-house players.
You wouldn't lose the items. They'd just go to non-ladder... If you don't care you just play non-ladder. A lot of people did that in Diablo 2. I don't really think it impacts your experience negatively, and just adds to the experience for those who care.
I would think the only issue is the 'dividing' of the player bases, but honestly in Diablo 2 that wasn't even an issue... I think players should be able to play how they want, and I don't see it hurting anyone.
Except it really sucked for non-ladderers in D2 since all the best items and runewords can only be found/created on ladder.

Then play the ladder. There were also a bunch of Hell Baal only dropped uniques, should those not have existed because there were people only interested in playing through normal again and again?

but non-ladder had all those sweet dupes and 1.08 items and duped 1.08 items

Please don't buy it, I don't want a single person to buy the expansion, they havent even released an official apology for this game yet
Apology because a lot of people didn't like it? This type of entitlement is borderline insane
I understand not liking the game, thinking it's a disaster, thinking it's a ravaging of the old series, or whatever other overly dramatic description you can think of.
But the game didn't make false promises, it had a really rough launch but later on worked fine, and was overall a fine game. I know I enjoyed a good 60-100 hours on it, and don't regret my purchase at all (And this is from someone who played D1-D2 for years upon years).
I will probably enjoy this expansion quite a bit as well. Certainly not GOTY material or whatever, but still fun.
I do think AH is a massive blow to the game in general, but I chose not to pay any attention to it.
Where are the PvP modes?
They just scrapped everything, put in something that doesn't even need development time (dueling) and called that PvP.
Here we promised PvP and you got PvP.
I bought the freaking game because I was building my character and waiting for the PvP to be included.
Not only did they scrap arena/deathmatch but now they are raising the level cap and every single item you have acquired is worthless.
GG to all of those that spent real money on items just to find out they are all worthless in a couple of months.

Lol Raven Spiral comes to mind. Even barb Chaos Noose lol. I also saw a 415ed botdz, had to be a dupe also. omg, those were the days...
i didnt really enjoy d3 as much as i wanted to but that cinematics team is fucking amazing when are they going to make a movie would rather pay 60 bucks for that than d3

See how that applies to everything?
Really...the computers and cars you buy become unfit for the road/usage after a few months? You must buy some shitty merchandise.
There's a vast difference between "depreciated" and "unfit for what you bought them for".

No, they do not. The point I was illustrating is that everything you buy will sooner or later get beaten by new stuff. I'm sorry if you didn't get it.

Yes there is, and all those items he bought are still fit for their purposes. So I'm not sure why you're telling me this.
To be honest I kind of like it! Seems to address important issues in vanilla D3 and it looks like they finally have a firm idea of what they want the game to be, since Jay Wilson left.
I'm really liking the changes. Can't say i'm too excited about the Crusader, not my thing but the new loot system as well as the paragon system, hell, even transmog has got me really excited to get my hands on the expac.
New class looks really enjoyable for my playstyle. It's not a druid but still cool. LootRuns might make the game really good. Those 25% randomized map system they have right now is so bad : /
OT: yay for D3!! Hoping for Self found and Ladder mode SOOOOOOOO BAD!!!! Please Blizzzzzzzzzzzz I actually started a new self found monk with 2 of my brothers yesterday. People can't say that game ain't fun ))
