pretty excited about the loot changes. based on screen shots from the pics it looks like CC is also going to be taking a huge hit (or maybe they just didnt want to show items with high cc). Definitely will check this out, but im not too hyped for crusader :x
on a side note, im amazed that this thread (for the majority) became a D3 lovers vs D3 haters argument. o _ o you'd think that the trolls would stop getting fed at some point...

i don't get all the hate. yes blizzard made serious mistakes with diablo 3 and the launched build was really bad, but since then the game got constantly better with each patch. josh mosqueira seems to be especially concerned about involving the community, since he sits on jay wilson's throne we got dozens of developer interviews, dialogue and feedback. and not the "fuck that guy" kind of feedback, but a sincere "we know the game needs work, and we're listening to you"
is the game perfect? no – far from it. is it going to be perfect when the expansion comes out? i doubt it. but i can't deny that there's progress, that the dev team is listening to the numerous complaints, and that the game is moving in the right direction. and with the expansion they're making a big step towards the community, implementing a lot of missed and suggested features. i'm looking forward to it.

Or did I misunderstand his story arc in Diablo 3?
The latter. He took up the mantle of Wisdom as a human. And if this is spoiled for you, too bad.
So i didn't understand the end of this game....
What the crap? In the final cinematic, he says he'll take his place again amongst them but this time as a mortal. Yada, yada, yada justice being met, I'll be Wisdom this time. You guys made me think I was thinking of the wrong game.
Played it in US because i don't like french dubs. So language got me on this one. Because i did not get that Sorry for late response.
OT: yay for D3!! Hoping for Self found and Ladder mode SOOOOOOOO BAD!!!! Please Blizzzzzzzzzzzz I actually started a new self found monk with 2 of my brothers yesterday. People can't say that game ain't fun ))
Problem with self-found is that it's impossible to get above average gear unless you are obscenely lucky because of the way the drop system works in relation to the auction house. Everyone knows the drop rates suck a massive cock even after the changes that were made to the game. And even if you do get legendaries to drop, most of the those suck in terms of the rolls you get.

Well, that was stupid of you.
GG to all of those that spent real money on items just to find out they are all worthless in a couple of months.

See how that applies to everything?
How is he stupid for buying and playing a game for the purpose of a feature that was advertised to be added?
Because that feature was, for some time before launch, on the feature wishlist and nothing more.
What in the world are you talking about? Did you even remotely pay attention to the game before it came out? If you had, you'd know that they had developed the PvP mode but scrapped it before launch for various reasons. There were gameplay video previews of the PvP mode at blizzcon 2010. For a game released in 2012.
The original D3 was so disappointing that I'm not gonna buy anything related to it ever again. Also, the trailer is about as cliché as possible again: pseudo mystical intro with "epic" music, diablo returns again (surprise), new bad guy arrives with cheesy oneliner. Bleh.
At least blizzard is nice enough to patch the new features into the current game so you can try out the new lootsystem etc. Just can't level to 70 or play the new class. Might be worth a try again but I sincerely doubt I will buy this game. Such a shame really it could've been so good T_T

How is it a problem? The game can be beaten with non-perfect gear, granted its "harder" or at least, slower. You have the liberty of re-running/re-beating the game endlessly if you want to achieve that perfect set. I found it more rewarding to find upgrades on a less frequent basis, some prefer to farm gold and shop for the best setup. To each their own.
The main frustration stemming from finding upgrades was the lack of linear progression, resulting in multiple pieces being upgraded right as you step into the next difficulty setting.
Lets just hope that their item drop revamp actually works, in inferno the real problem was with the frequency of junk rares and legendaries. The stats and affixes gap was much too wide.
Hopefully they also had a good look at talents and runes. Surprised they did'nt had another layer of depth to character development but it might be in the works (doubtful).
I wonder when it is set to be released, looks fairly complete.
Just like you pick your words from Blizzard I will do the same from the blog above:
Our original intent with PvP for Diablo III was to provide more formal support for the dueling community that existed in Diablo II.
Are you going get philosophical and discuss the word "intent" with me now or are you fine with people actually expecting PvP as advertised and get disappointed when Jay Wilson relesed the blog?
Or is it more like "they just intended, they didn't say they were going to include PvP" so they have technically not broken any "promises"?

So please, educate yourself before you post.
Do you even remotely pay attention to the posts you reply to? They took out the PvP feature from the game because it sucked, and as I said, put it back on the feature wishlist. As in, they said that they were hoping to bring PvP back at a later time. This was all public for some time before launch. If you still bought the game solely for PvP, then you made a stupid decision because the game didn't have that.

Do you understand what the term "original intent" means? It means that they were planning to do that from the beginning, but that their intent later changed. They told us all of that, before game launch. You can't buy a product based on old plans for it that have already been changed.
Yes, that is right. Just on the feature wishlist: something they'd like to have in the game in the future, but presently (at game launch) did not. That's what a feature wishlist means.
